Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location in Thamel. Nice breakfasts. Fairly quiet even though in the middle of Thamel. Very nice courtyard to eat/relax in. Very comfortable bed.

It’s reliably the same: it weathered COVID: the staff is excellent

At the price, location, security and service it would be churlish to mention anything I didn’t like

the staff were friendly and helpful.

the breakfast menu looked very varied, but what was available was actually very limited. an evening menu was also in the room, but on the night I asked if I could eat in, there was no food available. they seemed unaware of my booking, possibly because it was through Booking.com, but fortunately had a room. it seemed that they then found the booking, and upgraded me to another room. this also meant that they did not respond to my requests to be picked up at the airport, despite it being said on their website that they did a free pick up.

Such friendly and helpful staff who go above and beyond. It's a great location in the centre of Thamel, although the area is busy the place is quiet and relaxed.

We liked everything, no complaints at all.

I’d stayed at this guesthouse once before, eight years ago, so I made an effort to stay there, again. The very nice manager, Rishikesh, showed me three different rooms to choose from. Two of the rooms seemed very comfortable but the other room was rough around the edges. So, if you see your room and are disappointed, I would recommend asking if you might look at another room, instead. I couldn’t believe my eyes that my room had a full-size bathtub! At a mid price guesthouse in Kathmandu. I figured it was too good to be true(that perhaps there wouldn’t be sufficient hot water) but it was fine! And it’s back off the busy street it’s on, just far enough to seem quiet. For the money I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Kathmandu.

The traffic on the nearby street is, like every street in Thames, frustratingly annoying to say the least. I, personally, think the answer would be to make Thames a pedestrian only zone(but no one asked me for my opinion). You have to be very careful walking on the street as everyone is honking their horn, the merchants and street sellers are constantly trying to get your attention, while you’re watching your footing. But it’s the way it is everywhere in Thamel.
