Directly in the heart of the Thamel. Located in a narrow alley, a little bit difficult to find. Very friendly staff. They have a nice rooftop terrace, hot water. Felt very secure. They close the front door between 10pm and 7 am. But there is always someone from the reception during nighttime to let you in or out. They can also provide extra blankets if you wish. We visited in January. Big advantage: it is calm and quite during the night, for a good sleep. Otherwise Thamel is very noisy.

I had read from previous reviews that the common toilet would be the squat type so my expectations have been managed for that. I also had my own shampoo sachet. Being on the floor just above ground, I can hear people talking on the backstreet below and even smell their cigarette smoke if the window was open. Sunlight did not quite reach the room as the backlane was narrow and close to the building adjacent. Any higher though would mean having to climb more stairs. Room has an ashtray indicating that this may have catered to smokers who may have stayed before me, hence explaining that bit of smell in the room.

This is an honest establishment where the proprietors offer to show me my room before check in to manage my expectations. It was also clarified that the water is only warm from between 8am to 8pm. Hot water was always available upon request. There is a roof top area for those who would like to go up to catch a breather. They were also one of the rare establishments which will gladly accept USD as payment as per what booking.com says payment should be. Most others in Nepal insisted getting paid in Nepalese Rupees on the highest possible conversion rate, but here the owners are gracious to offer what the street money changers are offering. The stay comes with a nice comfy bath towel which is highly absorbent. If one were to return after 10pm, one can ring the doorbell which sounds like some sort of a non-irritating bird call. The owners can also help to call a taxi on the app for travel to the airport which cost just 600Rs. Totally honest.

I like the value for money and good location of this hotel. It's in Thamel which is a good location to explore. The staff were nice and room was neat and clean. Had a nice stay for 3 days there.

Squat toilet for the room with shared bathroom. Although area is very quiet away from the traffic, You can listen to people talking down the street, even at odd hours.

- one little nightstand for 2 people in the room, could be 2 - toilets could be better - late night loud noise, but that’s quite normal in this area

- staff was super nice, when we came early from the airport they gave us room to sleep and said that we can do all the check in later, we should relax first - we got the room on 4th floor which was nice and sunny, we had access to common balcony

Not the cleanest but it's so cheap you get what you pay for. Our sheets weren't clean when we arrived but they changed them when we asked. Shared bathroom not very clean. Not the most comfortable place for a long stay but great for a night or two.

Great location and unbeatable price for Thamel. Good for a short stay - we stayed the night before an early bus and it was completely fine.

Some stress from the snaky narrow street ( related to security ) .. at night, a man tried extortion 😨 and others drunked ones fought & broke the door of hotel beside😨... Maybe a little bigger free smile from reception could have been welcome.

I stayed for 2 nights and 2nd night was Friday - so lots of "resting" locals. I had drunk loud neighbors in the next hotel (windiow-to-window room), and they shouted till 4 am... that was really bad, but it never depends on hotel...

Hotel in the deep of Thamel - feels like living with locals. It was a bit tricky to find first time, but then it's ok. Stuff is very helpful, very comfortable mattresses, and room price is great!
