Stayed here on two different occasions either side of our trek. The first room we were issued had plug points not working and the bathroom had a lot of seepage and a very mouldy smell. The second time we got a room didn't have hot water and no hooks in the bathroom to hang even a towel. Had to use the latch of the door to hang a towel. Don't expect WiFi to work well.

Again, for the cost it was good enough. The only comment was that our bathroom in particular had a heavy amount of black mould on the ceiling and walls.

It’s great value for money, location is close enough to Tamel without being overly noisy - at night the room was quiet. We had a fan which was perfect because it was hot during our stay. Staff are friendly and helpful! Includes breakfast was good too.

Good location, good price for this place, budget, not the cleanest but not terrible for the price. The breakfast was great, the staff were friendly, but the internet didn’t work. We stayed for 4 days, it never worked.

The facility is very old, which is not a surprise considering the location. However the staff and authority has given their best to adapt. The absence of an Air Conditioner or even a ceiling fan was surprising. Otherwise nothing unexpected to this price point.

In the evenings the smoking in the patio and very noisy (even drunken) conversations from the patio were a bit disturbing. I had to close my windows to keep the smoke out and dim the noisy men.

Breakfast was ok, I would have preferred a proper Nepali breakfast! But I am sure most guests are happy with the breakfast.

We have had a very pleasant stay at Regency hotel. The receptionists were very kind and very helpful. They helped us to book a taxi and the breakfast was also very good. The room and the hotel are clean. We would definitely spend another journey there. Highly recommended!

Accommodation is great in the city centre, room and bath have correct size. Complete breakfast was delicious and plenty. Staff really friendly, willing to help with all our needs. They were very flexible with the check-in time as we were able to enter earlier to the room and also to leave the backpacks during our trek.

I stayed for almost 2 weeks in this hotel (December 2024) and I would say that the hotel is clean and all staff were very helpful complemented by a decent breakfast.

The location of hotel is highly praised for its prime location in the heart of Thamel making it convenient for sightseeing attractions in Nepal.

In a great location and very central and close to all shops, restaurants and Darbar square. The hotel it's nicely decorated and very clean with a very nice and welcoming team of staff. Good value for money and definitely recommend this place

Our room was really dark and the first good we had reeked of cigarettes. They moved us and the second one was a lot better. But still dark.

Our window was right above a busy road and it was very noisy! We had a hard time sleeping and were woken up often by street sounds.
