I arrived with a reservation, but no staff or owners were present. Another guest staying here showed me around the house. Some rooms had no electricity, and there was trash in every bin in each room. The bathroom was facing the neighbours terrace (and had no curtains or anything). Wifi wasn't working that day. But that was the least of the problems... A staff member entered my room without even knocking, having my drink from the fridge from the shared kitchen in his hand and asking if it's mine. And in the middle of the night, my room door suddenly opened, even though I’m 100% sure I had locked it from the inside! I didn't see who was there... I don't think it is a dangerous place, but the weird for sure. Left next day to another homestay.

It's a beautiful house, but the things are weird here...

Tired of everything. The place is clean, but I had a terrible experience at the homestay because the staff there seemed completely insane. Maybe I shouldn’t say it like this, but it really felt like the staff had serious mental issues. I might not be able to express everything in a review, but we had an extremely horrible feeling. My girlfriend couldn’t even sleep all night. I have just one request for the homestay owner: please change the staff. I honestly think they need a medical check-up. Hygiene was at 0% — it felt like the staff hadn’t cleaned anything until now. Their way of speaking was rude. I have a lot more to say, but I can’t even express it all here.”

The staff seems a little inexperienced and the food isn't that tasty.

The location of that homestay was shown in a different place, and it was located much further away from the market.

It was spacious and quiet. And the dishes were satisfying.

Pleasant experience if you are looking for a somewhat calmer stay in Kathmandu

This Homestay is definitely a nice one. I stayed about one week and quite enjoyed it. It's far enough from the busy centre to be able to calm down and relax, yet close enough to walk to Swayambhu Stupa, Thamel, Durbar Square etc. if you dont mind using your feet a little. There is even a tiny supermarket about 15 minutes away. Though you'll probably get everything you need at those little "street stores" just around the corner. Restaurants are close too. The staff is uncomplicated to deal with and the owner even invited me for some good Momo at a local place nearby. Much appreciated :) So all in all I had a very pleasant experience and can definitely recommended giving this a try.
