Always friendly people around, much better and fresher air than in the lower city, calm and relaxing atmosphere, travelers , everything for daily needs in 20 min walk available, you can avoid the hectic if the city. Even the Stupa you reach in 45 min walk in smaller streets, Kopan Monastery in 7 min walk .

I had a comfortable stay, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. It was nice to be outside the hectic traffic in Kathmandu. The Kopan Monastery is very close to the mountains. The food was delicious, a comfortable place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I can highly recommend this place for a relaxed stay.

The location was great for me as it was next door to my monastery. This is a lovely, clean 2 guest house run by a very nice Tibetan family. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The food at their Cafe is great.

Very nice place to stay, it's located on a hill, a bit away from the center, so it's quite a spot with a beautiful view

A super place to relax away from the bustle of Kathmandu. A short, lovely pathway to Kopan Monastery.

I really liked the hotel's location on the hill with a beautiful view of the city. Additionally, there are several monasteries nearby.

The food is good, but there are very few options available. My friend and I wanted to share a room because it's usually cheaper, but we were charged for each person individually. As a result, it ended up being quite expensive compared to typical prices in Nepal.

It was a great location, with a great view of the city, away from the bustle of Thamel. But the trade off was a commute through dusty, rough road uphill to get there. The environment of the space was nice, with greenery, and good energy. The fee for the room was a steal. I was surprised that I got such a great deal.

The bathroom was a small for my liking.

Green Mandala Inn is a lovely small hotel run by a warm and welcoming family. I stayed here twice—once before and once after my course at Kopan Monastery—and it truly felt like home away from home. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need. The attached restaurant is a standout feature, serving delicious, freshly prepared home-cooked meals. The food was so good that even monks and nuns from the monastery come here to eat! The location is ideal for anyone traveling to Kopan Monastery, offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere with stunning views of Kathmandu. Whether you're here for a retreat or just passing through, this is a wonderful place to stay.

Excellent family run accommodation, very friendly and helpful. The facility met our expectations and we were very fortunate as its a short walk to Kopan Monastery. They have an excellent cafe good selection of teas (masala and others), coffee's, milk or fresh juice drinks and traditional as well as western foods are available. The owner is happy to contact taxi's for you.

The power did go out briefly at night however this was quickly fixed by the owners.

The most wonderful place to stay!!!🥰 The hosts are amazingly kind and helpful, warm-hearted people! During my almost 3 months long stay in Nepal i returned several times to their guest house; from the first night i spent there, i felt like home! Absolutely loved the location, overlooking the city, an oasis of peace.. Very good energies.. Everything is clean and tidy, the food is very good, prices are highly affordable. They have rooms of different categories, so everyone can choose according to their buget.. Although the distance from the city center made me a bit uncertain before i arrived, being there i was shortly convinced, that all the other advantages far outweighed this shortcoming.. The distance was not a problem for me at all, Boudha Stupa is 40 minutes walking distance, we walked even to Thamel and Patan from there. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!🙏 I hope to return, soon!
