Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe staff during the day were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure guests were comfortable. However, I did have a small issue with the night shift staff. It was raining heavily, and when I requested an umbrella just to reach the parking area from the reception, I was told all umbrellas were already being used by other guests. That would have been perfectly understandable, but the tone and lack of concern in the response made the interaction less pleasant. A little more courtesy would have gone a long way.
The sunset view was absolutely stunning, and the rooms were amazing – clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The breakfast had a great variety of delicious options, and the pool was also very nice and relaxing. The restaurant La Vista offered a great view as well, though unfortunately I couldn’t fully enjoy it because of the rain. The location felt convenient, and most of the staff were very attentive and friendly.

A great place to stay near Tribhuvan airport: very new and clean, friendy staff, delicious food, spacious and well-equipped rooms (fully sound-proof). I requested a late check out (+ 3 hours) for an additional relatively small amount and was kindly grated it. Felt very comfortable and cared for during my stay. Thank you~ Hope to be back again!

Recently, I had to plan for a quick overnight visit to Kathmandu. As usual, I was looking for a decent and safe place for my overnight stay on my mobile. Suddenly I came across this Best Western Plus, but I was bit surprised and taken back coz hotel did not have any guests' reviews. Then, I realized that its new hotel and listing has been done recently. Being a single lady, I was bit apprehensive then I thought, being an international brand basic safety & standards will never be compromised. Truely, it's a newly built hotel and everything is neat & clean. The rooms are well-appointed, spacious and comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat after a long journey. I must admit beds are very comfortable. The staff's warm hospitality and efficient service were commendable. They were always ready to assist with any queries or requests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. The hotel's strategic location near the International Airport was a major convenience. It saved me valuable time and effort, making my transit hassle-free. The dining experience was equally impressive. The restaurant served a variety of delicious dishes, catering to diverse tastes. The quality of the food and the attentive service further enhanced the overall experience. The following day, it was a bright sunny morning, having breakfast at the Sunrise Cafe located on the first-floor terrace overlooking the Bagmati River was truly unforgettable. My next visit will definitely be to this hotel. I would highly recommend Best Western Plus Kathmandu to anyone seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in Kathmandu.

KuwaitThe room had a spa tub but it was really tiny, only a small person would fit comfortably. Pool is not heated so it was cold at first but once in, was fine. I experienced 2 major issues. the first was the house-keeping was not up to par. Only the bed was remade and the linen napkin that was on the floor beside the sofa remained there for 4 days. empty crisp packet was just folded and left on the counter top. The room was not thoroughly cleaned while i was there. The biggest issue i had was the food quality. breakfast was ok, not much variety, i ended up eating toast and boiled eggs all week since I didnt eat anything else that was on offer. The one day there were danish pastries was nice. I had mustang potatoes and wild mushroom something for dinner the first night, mushroom was rubbery and not edible, potatoes were great, second night was veg noodles, they came out cold and tasteless, but i was very hungry so i ate them. I mentioned this to the wait staff to inform the kitchen. next night was noodles again but still came out cold and tasteless. next night was butter chicken, the most horrible after-taste on a butter chicken i ever ate. I just gave up and ate outside after that. The food is so expensive and really not worth half the price.
I originally booked this room for the pool, and also for the size of the room since it was a long stay in the same hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and the pool was mostly clean with a few floating flowers and leaves that were removed daily. I think the pool filter should have been used more. The hot water was very hot in the shower but intermittent, ran hot and cold during the shower.

DenmarkRegarding the room, there was a fake window that did not open, in addition the AC occasionally lost contact with the server, rendering it unable to work and thus the room becoming very warm. The hair dryer did not work. Regarding facilities we were disappointed. Listing says 3 restaurants, however there were only 2 with identical menues. The so called 'italian' and 'french' Food options were disappointing, pizza is clearly a frozen pizza w/extra cheese at 950nrp. Food takes 30-60m to arrive, and does not arrive at the same time, meaning ur dish might get cold unless you wanna eat one after the other??. Western food options were mediocre at best. Breakfast buffet was disappointing as well. Poor options if you do not want to eat curry for breakfast. Omelet station did not prepare the omelette well. Furthermore the pool is located next to the parking lot and is unclean. The location near the parking lot resulted in us being stared at by passerbys, have they never seen a white person before??. In addition kitchen is placed next to pool area, resulting in interesting smells. Hotel contains a convention venue which is fine, however a wedding going on had very loud music, rendering the pool area unusable. Location is also poor, good for airport transfers, not much else. Lastly, listing says in house spa and steam room, however this was out of order and Instead we were offered to go to another place, however we ordered for the convenience of inhouse spa options. As the hotel is only 3 months old, I doubt it ever worked. Overall I would not recommend this hotel if you're a westerner expecting standard best western facilities.
Room is nice, comfortable beds, hot shower and western toilets. Fast wifi Fitness is ok. Free toiletries were nice.
