I liked everything. Nothing to complain about.

Location was central and close to government departments and judiciary. Good restaurants with excellent views. The rooms are rustic and cosy. The bed was neither too soft nor too hard. The water pressure was good and so was the hot water. Good Internet connectivity and a Smart TV in the room. The room decor stood out and it didn’t feel like one of those homogeneous hotel rooms the world needed over. Felt like I was staying at traditional Nepali home. The best part was the complimentary pick and drop for the airport. Will definitely recommend this hotel for business travel and will be my first option for future stays.

What a wonderful hotel to stay at if you are in Kathmandu for a couple of days. Every floor of the hotel is very aesthetic and spacious. The hotel was very kind and gave us a complementary room upgrade to one of the suites. The room was the perfect space to spend our last day in Nepal; very clean with a lot of space to sort our luggage. The staff were very accommodating and understanding of our many requests (many taxi requests, airport pick up and drop off, late check out, looking after a last-minute thangka purchase delivered to the hotel, us staying at the hotel restaurant and foyer until our very late international flight). We had a complementary breakfast which was the best hotel-offered breakfast we had throughout our stay in Nepal, and we paid for a lovely Nepali thali dinner at the restaurant in the evening. We partly chose the hotel because it was located between the airport, Thamel and Lalitpur, which is a good location if you need to get to all three places (though note the traffic in Kathmandu is pretty bad!).

Quick one night stay at this hotel proved to be a lucky find. A bit away from the bustling noise of Kathmandu, this gem offered a quiet sleep, very friendly staff, and a shuttle to the airport in the morning (included). After having driven from the Chinese border to Kathmandu, I indulged in a deep tissue massage (thanks to all the staff in the spa area – Jaya and Sabito) and enjoyed dinner in the Nepali restaurant on top of the building. The staff at the reception, Smitri and Kushal were very helpful in organizing the transfer. Definitely worth a stay.

Staff at Basera were amazing. When I checked in at night, it was Kusal on duty who was really nice and warmly welcomed me after my long flight. During daytime, it was Smriti who was on duty for two days. She was fantastic and very helpful. She went above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant and assist with any queries. They made some beautiful coffees at the restaurant. I didn’t use much of the facilities as I was there for a trek. Cultural/traditional dance performances at dinner time was a really good experience. Nice and cosy place which is very clean and 5* staff!!!!!

There was an issue with the laundry I gave them but we quickly found a solution and I got the compensation I asked for. Staff was noisy in the corridor in the morning but after o advised reception, the issue was gone. Really 5 stars for service!!!

Everything! Good location, super good breakfast, spa with lots of options and Santi gave me the best massage, room lovely but above all the staff is incredibly helpful and reactive! Bonus for the free airport transport and the 24/7 room service. I really had a lovely time and would highly recommend. Doorman and valet on site - which makes it all look fancy.

If you have a room on floor 6 below the restaurant that you can hear the entertainment each night until 9pm. Had we known this at check in we would have requested another room.
