Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There is a single lift for a busy nine storey hotel, the wait for which could be very long

Ran out of toilet paper. Should we have expected daily attention in room? not sure. Noise in halls carried.

I had to spend my first night in a room that did not meet the description of the room I had booked. The room I booked was not available until my second night.

The Shower was a little weak - could have had a stronger current. Breakfast was nice for the price but some of the pastries were dry
The location was in the center of the Thamel, close to everything you need. Staff was very friendly and kind. Room was big, with beautiful view.

The only dislikes that we had a minor maintenance issue, which we reported early morning, and had to call 5x to finally get it resolved. Otherwise the stay was 100% likable.
Location is ideal, in the Thamel district but at the end of the main road, so slightly less noisy. I liked that the top floor is a restaurant with glass walls and a beautiful view. I liked the on-site laundry. What I LOVED was the spa! The facilities aren’t what I’m used to (spa snob!) but the services were above what I’m accustomed to.

Use something under the breakfast food items that actually works to keep them warm because the little flame burners were useless. Foods that I expected to be at least warm were almost without exception just room temperature. Disappointing.

Housekeeping only came once, at the beginning of my week-long stay. So the trash piled up and things didn't get cleaned. There was a line of ants always moving through the bathroom, which didn't bother me much, until they found my skin-care products. The bed was quite firm. I had to use the comforter from the 2nd bed doubled up as an extra cushion.
The hotel is built in traditional Nepali style and is lovely. It was almost perfectly clean. The staff was very friendly, offered free water and toilet paper every day at the front desk. My room had a lovely balcony with a nice view and was quite comfortable. The free breakfast buffet was okay: there were slightly different items ever day, and you could get omelets made. Room service food was excellent. The upper floor lounge/restaurant has a lovely view, but the food isn't so great. The location is in a lovely maze of old streets in a tourist part of town, but pretty close to anywhere you'd like to go. Easy to find a taxi or rickshaw.

- Elevator takes ages, i ended climbing the stairs to 5th floor all the time. - Restaurant tables are dirty -- Rooms are overall clean but they don't do daily cleaning
- Well located in Thamel, walking distance to everything - Rooms are clean, comfortable, good ac and shower, fairly quiet - Overall i slept well and had a good stay for $45pn not sure it worth more than that...

Very nice and big rooms. The bed was king size and super comfy, I slept really good. The showers were equipped with a rain shower and were clean. The AC worked without any problems and even the location was right at Thamel it was quiet.

Breakfast is OK but not much more. The lounge has beautiful views, but is missing several menu items (they appear in the menus, but were always missing - likes desserts). Other than that nothing to dislike.
Awesome location right in the Thamel. Amazing views from the top floors - we didn't imagine than Kathmandu would ever offer us such views. Clean, well equipped, comfortable beds, good air-conditioning. Very nice rooms! The lounge on the top floors has incredible views - a really nice place to relax.
