How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Only problem with the location was it was super warm and windows had to be open over night… much partying going on until early hours of the morning
It was very quaint with their 5pm waffles bar each day. It was super clean and staff was extremely helpful!

The room was a little bit on the smaller side. It wasn't a deal breaker, but it was a bit tight.
The staff were very friendly and the location of the hotel was near the waterfront, restaurants and a playground for our son. The complimentary waffles in the evening were a nice unexpected touch. We got a pizza to eat from a nearby restaurant and it was unsliced. The hotel had a pizza cutter that they lent us to cut the pizza with :)

It's a small old hotel, where it gets too chilly at night (the blanket provided was not enough even being a stay in june). Uncomfortable with the mattress and the sunlight that comes through the curtains in a season where the sun doesn't set at night. Although the description indicates how many square meters there are, the room offered was smaller than it looks in the photos misleading the expectations.
Extremely nice staff, free coffee and cookies and a Waffles happy hour where you can have them freshly cooked with some local cheese. That was really something special that should be highlighted! The hotel was very clean and well treated. Absolutely nothing was found out of order.

The only thing I could say is the fact that I had to ask the reception for the blow dryer, the room does not go with it. But was no problem at all after all. In general it was a bit expensive for a single bed room, but that is Norway haha, it is a pricey country.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Everything including the city center was accessible within walking distance so great location , the view of my room was amazing too. The room was cozy and comfy and had very good heating and conditioning.

Some bedrooms are very small for two persons. The hotel sign is not easy to be seen from the street.
Wifi is efficiently smooth. The location is easy to reach by bus with a little walk.

Essential rooms with what is needed for a short stay, comfortable beds. Appreciated the coffee and tea with cookies always available. Unfortunately we arrived too late to try the waffles, next time!

The family room is a bit cramped, but given the hotel's location, this is a quibble.
We travelled with our extended family of 6, so we'd booked one double room and the family room. Both were very clean and the beds were really comfortable. The waffles, cookies, hot chocolate and coffee at the reception were delicious. You can easily walk to the town centre and to the harbour from the hotel, the location really is excellent. We checked out early and the person at the reception very kindly let us leave all our luggage in a safe room.

The location is very central and well connected with all the meeting point for the organized excursions. Bed are really confortable and coffe and tea are always available in reception!
