Just as a suggestion, add something more of sweet to the breakfast.

Only minor issue is that one of our beds needed a new mattress. Ok to sleep in but springs very noisy so a disturbance to the rest of the family sleeping in the room

Fantastic location with superb facilities. Very clean, lots to do for the kids including loads of ball games, great playground, games room and water sports. Very good kitchen facilities and very nice breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money.

It is a big Hostel with lot of activities around and providing common spaces with other guests. Ideal for active families and young groups. The room is big and comfortable.

Stunning property with access to lake for kayak , swim, plenty of outdoor and indoor games and sports facilities. Family rooms were great so family of 4-5 can stay in same room. Loved every bit of our stay.

We came a bit early and couldn’t get the room before 3 pm when the reception opened. A lot of small flies in the room. We had a family room - there were seats only for 2, and in upstairs was really hot for sleeping…

Breakfast and sheets were included. The lake and swimming area was great. Beds were good. The shower was good and a lot of space. Kitchen was really good.

We found Tau/Stavanger area a little bit boring (certainly compared to Odda for example). It was fun to do Preikestolen, and we also booked a Rib boat tour through the fjords. Then there is some hikes in the area (for example, you can hike the hill across the lake from the hostel, there is a parking space and marked route). In hindsight we would have booked three nights instead of four (but we were very lucky with the weather!)

We stayed for four nights in a room in the main building. We loved our stay! The room is very basic - there is no cozy lights or decorations. But it is clean and the bed is comfortable. The hostel itself is amazing. You can swim in the lake of rent a sup or canoe, there is plenty of grass to chill in shadow or sun, much outdoor space, partly also sheltered from rain so you can always be outside. Then there's the game room, living room, cinema, shared kitchen... We loved it!

Lovely staff, big, clean rooms that are also available for dogs. Breakfast included in reasonable hours and the hostel is close to attractions like Pulpit Rock. Located in a quiet place, with a lovely outdoor playground for both older and younger kids, barbecues and a lake where you can swim and rent out a canoe or sup.

Everything was perfect. We have spent wonderful time. Rooms were simple but you have all you need: kitchen, dining room, gaming room, lounge.... The views are wonderful, and of course that was a good base for hiking.

We absolutely loved everything about this place! It’s full of activities for families, especially if you have kids—my daughter had such a great time. For adults, it’s peaceful and relaxing, thanks to the beautiful lake nearby. The room was spacious and very clean; we felt at home the moment we stepped inside. The manager, Elizabeth, was wonderful—she welcomed us with a warm smile and was incredibly accommodating. I highly recommend this place. It’s the best hostel we’ve stayed at so far!

Nice location, scenic lake and Mountain View, very peaceful, nice facilities with many activities for kids (kayak, kids park, sports, play area, screen room). We did couple of hikes in the neighborhood, including pulpit rock which was fun. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We extended our stay at the place as we liked it so much. Easy to cook and store eatables in the shared kitchen area. Nice breakfast and free coffee/ tea made the stay comfortable!

This was amazing areal in a quite place, so much activities for kids or even adults (gameroom). Even laundry. Everything to be satisfied. Amazing view in front of hotel on the the lake. Location +++. We spent a night in a tent. room clean, comfortable bed. Breakfest very tasteful. Would give 11 out of 10. Would love to return in a few years again.
