Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Exceptional breakfast - the chef, Michael, is a gem. Staff were friendly. Handy location - caught Flybussen bus from airport to the Torgen stop then a short walk.

Central location, very close to Bryggen. Friendly staff. Comfy beds. Room is clean. Breakfast selection is good.

United KingdomA small thing - the desk and chair in the room was close to the door. So on entering the room with my suitcase was tricky and I kept bumping into the furniture. It's a bit of a tight space. That said I loved that I could swivel the TV and watch from either the bed or bathroom!
I really enjoyed my stay - breakfast options were excellent, staff friendly and helpful. I appreciated the water tap near reception so I could refill my water bottle throughout the day. The bathroom in my room was stunning and everything was very clean. I didn't realise until I got to Bergen how well the hotel was located to key sights in the city.

Perfect location, close to the fish market and other attractions. Friendly staff. The room was comfortable, equipped with an ironing board and mini bar. Bergen was experiencing a heat wave, which is unusual weather so hotel rooms aren't air conditioned. The hotel provided small fans for the rooms and that was good enough. Breakfast has a good variety of food.

United KingdomInadequate lifts (2) for hotel with coach parties - one was out of action for our stay. Car parking was in a local tourist ‘Parkhus’ not connected to hotel, with no rates for hotel guests. Hotel rates are expensive - based on location and not facilities offered.
Convenient location in Bergen, near to the tourist attractions. Comfortable room and good breakfast offering. Staff were friendly and willing to help.

The hotel staff went above and beyond to help our travel companions, who inadvertently left their passports in the Oslo Thon Rozenkrantz hotel safe. We traveled to Bergen by train and stayed in the Thon Rosenkrantz in Bergen as well. We discovered the issue fairly late at night, and had less than 24 hours to figure out how to get the passport from Oslo to Bergen, as we were due to leave Bergen and fly home to the US at 5 am the following day. A member of the Oslo staff actually went to the train station to see if the conductor could bring it with him on his overnight train journey. He couldn't. A Bergen staff member was able to contact a luggage courier service, past 11 pm, and arrange for them to pick up the passport and get it to us the next evening. Huge kudos to the staff at both hotels for helping our friends avoid a catastrophe. The breakfast was phenomenal and the location city center was perfect.

Location was great. Beds and pillows comfortable. Clean room with enough space. Coffee and hot pot in room. Iron and ironing board in room as well. Best hair dryer in a hotel in Norway.
