The rooms are old and in need of renovation.

In terms of location, it is close to Flåm and is a nice hotel nestled among the mountains. It has a scenic and pleasant lobby seating area and a restaurant. There are walking trails around it.

The receptionist was rather indifferent and lacking enthusiasm. I was rather surprised how little she seemed to be willing to make us feel comfortable or make our experience unforgettable. I would say it was so uncharacteristic of Norway.

Nature is divine. The gauge, the mountain tops, a short walk to the waterfalls and a collection of wooden cottages a stone’s throw from the main entrance. The food at the restaurant was tasty and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Superb location with scenic splendor and a good restaurant. Convenient to fjord towns of Gudvagen and Flåm. Quaint interior decorated with art pieces and objects balances an otherwise dullish exterior and older vibe. The rooms are comfortable and if you are on the valley side of the building the views are spectacular. It can be a bit hectic during the day as it seems to be a location for tour buses to pull up for a quick in and out photo op.

Absolutely gorgeous views from the Room and also from the Garden. Room is spacious with coziness and decent breakfast. Nice collection of shopping next to the reception, Overall we really liked the experience.

Very nice hotel with a top-notch view! Breakfast and dinner were good. 30 minutes easy drive from Flam. Had a relaxing stay. Recharged just by strolling the ground with an excellent view of the mountains and valley.

You have to deal with buses of tourists coming by to see the view but the best is that they go back on their cruise boat and you stay and can see it from sunset to sunrise Not a buffet person so we skipped it and drove to the closest village by the water and had a very delicious dinner there for half the price of the buffet . The drive itself was sensational too !

The location is exceptionally beautiful ! The hotel hasn’t been remodeled but has great bones, mid century vibes and wouldn’t need much to be on top . It is very clean and comfortable, loved having a tub to soak on a cold night , very nice staff

Slightly dated bedrooms & bathroom- but that’s also the feel of the hotel. Everything still very clean.

Amazing location, spectacular views, very friendly staff. Comfortable room- views of the mountain range from our bedroom window! Very good buffet breakfast in the morning.

The bathroom in the rooms is neat but old, and there is a shower, but it's in the bath with a showercurtain

The place is so authentic. Beautiful view. The furniture and decoration makes you feel to be living 100 years ago. Very well maintained. Both the buffet dinner and breakfast are great!
