How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Kitchen area is too small so a bit difficult to manage around
Good location next to the waters with a nice view, unfortunately the pool wasn’t available otherwise it’s a plus in summers, 15 minutes drive to Bergen centre. We just stayed one night so it was okay.

Room was bad condition and look old Garden does not look nice Expensive and not worth of money I recommended other nice looking place on the sea beach which are cheaper

The room is super small and the bathroom even smaller. Since the apartments are not restored the impression is a little bit worse, and also during the night it can get a little bit cold.
The apartments are very convient with all facilities you need for your stay.

The cabin didn't look in a nice shape. It had a common bathroom outside and a bit far away from it, and the furniture of the cabin was very old and partly ruined.
The location was fantastic. One of the best ones we have stayed

The beds and pillows are not that comfortable. In general the furniture is outdated. There are common shared bathrooms and a kitchen.
The location is very good and also our room was very clean. The value for money is also very good. It is very cheap and there shouldn’t be higher expectations than what you get.

Small and dated bathroom. Kitchen facilities limited and very dated.
Spacious room and bedroom. Great location, close to ferry terminal to explore rest of the Fjords. Nice swimming pool (bit cold :) ) for kids to get rid of any excess energy.

We moved to a cabin on the property because we felt the room was a bit worn down.
Fabulous view, good location, very nice staff, quiet, but the rooms and facilities are a bit worn down. Despite that, we had a nice stay.

The house and furniture were older, but in comparsion with the price it was perfectly fine.
The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Whatever we needed, she helped us. We had a two room appartment - bedroom and combined kitchen with living room. There was also a big balcony. Overall very spacious and comfortable.

The humidity was very high inside the apartment. It was not very comfortable: the bathroom was tiny and its door couldn't be closed, the beds were bad, the kitchen lacked equipment and utensils (no garbage bin, no oil, no salt nor pepper etc.). The shared kitchen and laundry room were very messy.
There was a private kitchen. The motel was close to the ferry and to the statue. The WiFi was of good quality.

The property hasn’t been maintained well. We found mold in the shower. Couldn’t use the bathroom and left early.
The staff were nice. The kitchenette inside our room had clean plate and cutleries, knife, cutting board, frying pan and a small fridge.

The beds are very loud (room 2) if you move you hear everything. Also there were very noisy neighbours who cooked and made party until 2am, we heard them all the time even though we used ear plugs. The room was quite dirty and you have to buy bedsheets if you don't want to sleep in the sleeping bag in the used bed. It would also be great to have some double rooms. If there are 4 people in the 4 bed room and each person pays 14€, the price value is ok. But we paid 73€ with the sheets (2 people) and for that money we got a better hotel even at LOFOTEN island...
It's close to the ferry, so it's practical to reach. Also the reception is open until 22:30, that's also good.
