How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nothing I can think of.
Location near the very heart of the town. Clean, practically arranged rooms. Nice staff. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Free tea or coffee throughout the day.

I was getting weird messages that I have to do online checking if I will be arriving after 16:00. "Late arrival? If you are arriving after 16:00 we ask you to check-in online to guarantee your room.". My room was already paid during the reservation so this looked a bit like a scam. At the end I did not do online check-in and I had no issues with my room but this caused unnecessary stress.
The room was really tiny but for one night it was ok. Everything was clean. Coffe and tea was available all the time for everyone even if you didn't bought the breakfast. Very helpful lady at the reception.

Lack of facilities in the room, unfortunately. At least, a kettle for a coffee could be great. Also, the TV options could be better.

The room is small, but we knew that. It is ok for couple of nights.
Great location, easy check-in and check out. Everything you basically need at the breakfast and the breakfast area was nice and quiet, we enjoyed it.

1 key card for 2 guests, we were woken up at 9 am to find out if we had left, after the worker knocked he opened the door and started to come in. This is very strange considering that check-out is at 12 o'clock, and logically no one should enter our room before 12 o'clock There are no labeled bottles in the bathroom, I couldn't figure out where the soap, shower gel and shampoo are, as there are only 2 dispensers without labels Access to WiFi is only via booking email, which is not convenient again considering there were two of us

The bed was of poor quality and left my back regretting my choice. The curtains were weak considering this is Midnight Sun time. I brought an eye mask because i expected issues
Located 4 blocks back from the water - literally 5 mins walk from everywhere and no further away than options at twice the price

Size of double beds is can't be satisfying. I shared bed with the friend of mine (male) and we had to sleep with heads opposite to each other to gain some space. I feel those called double beds are indeed comfy single beds. When I asked if they had any rooms with seperate beds I was told they didn't:/

Our double room was tiny, but bed & bedding were good quality..

The heater was broken in room 225, and then we were shifted to 226. I hope this will be fixed for future guests Steepy road to reach the hotel may not be auitable for all - I had a tough time walking up as I had a recent hip surgery Overpriced breakfast for a budget hotel..
