Reception was a little slow, finishing photocopying whilst 2 lot’s of customers were waiting to be booked in. I was given all the information I needed, it just wasn’t overly welcoming. We had air conditioning in our room but despite having it on the lowest setting, it was still too hot. None of the above has put me off Scandic, I’m actually in another one as I’m doing this review.

Our room was too small. We found it a bit difficult to move inside the room as two people, however we did not spend a lot of time in the room so it was fine.

Location and breakfast was quite nice. Rooms seem to be newly renovated, tidy and clean.

There was no way to turn off the ventilation in the room. Room was a bit on the small side but we managed just fine.

Good location, comfortable beds, cozy lights, close to havet Arena and city attractions. Breakfast was included and it was ok. Shops and restaurants are nearby.

The hotel was in a good location, with restaurants and a shopping mall very close by. It was not a far walk from the train station and it was an easy walk into the city centre. The room was comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel was in a very good location and easy to get to from the train station. Our room was very comfortable and we also had a kettle in our room. Free tea and coffee was available near reception at any time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in our stay and was excellent with plenty to choose from. We also had a shopping centre right near the hotel with plenty of eateries to choose from.

Built-in room fittings made moving about tricky. No parking, but we were aware of this.

The spectacular breakfast! Also, the soundproofing of the door was great. Trondheim is very walkable and the location was good for that. Beds were comfortable.

Not much space in the room, especially when you bring a dog. In general, the hotel accepts dogs but is not a very dog-friendly. You have to pay quite a lot for the dog/stay. You get nothing, not even a bowl. There is no separate space for dogs at breakfast (all other hotels we stayed in had a separate area just for dogs) and even at the bar they are not welcome (you can theoretically bring the dog but just if no one else is there or no one gets disturbed). Therefore we really can’t recommend this hotel to dog owners however the facilities were quite nice and the staff friendly and helpful and the location perfect.

Very good location. Parking just under the hotel very nice and easy (drive in and pay when you drive out). Breakfast was very good.

Very small room and bathroom, like most Scandic hotels I've been to. You have a superior room available, but it is small too.

What I most liked was breakfast. It was incredibly good. You have a wide variety of options with top quality. Besides, it is served in an inner yard, which makes it so pleasant. Modern facilities, in walking distance to city centre.

Nothing. One minor thing is the breakfast staff is very efficient at clearing tables; as a solo traveler I sometimes found my plate gone if I got up to get a refill on my juice.

Great location. Easy to reach by walking from train station. Good breakfast with lots of options. Room is small but comfortable. Might be bit tight for two people, but worked great for a single. Helpful staff. Hotels in Norway actually leave your towels hanging where they were if you don’t want them changed; much appreciated!

The noise in our 2nd floor room was terrible, felt like everyone above us was showering in our room. Probably only a handful of rooms with the issue ( avoid 204 ! )

This is the perfect location in Trondheim, in the middle of so many restaurants and bars, but a short walk to the city centre and old parts of town
