How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The information about parking was not clear before booking, it is turned out very expensive parking since it is in the center.
Spa was amazing and very nice and clean room. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices.

Room was quite small. Booking arrangement and towel borrowing for the pool was a bit odd.

We booked a room for 4 persons, but the bed + sofabed actually only allowed 3 persons to sleep in them comfortably.
The breakfast was copious and it was nice to be able to use the swimming pool (with sauna).

The pool was not available. Upon arrival we were told we had to reserve a timeslot for the pool. When we did, it was cancelled as the cleanliness of the water could not be guaranteed.
Great breakfast, friendly staff. Nice Rooms.

Some dust in the room. The sofa bed was uncomfortable and extremely noisy.

Noise, pool closed.
Room was comfortable, however room was next to stairs could hear people walking up and down. Street level, window looked onto pavement., also on a hill, so although near station if you have luggage would recommend taxis. Breakfast was plentiful also ran till 11:00. Pool was not open at time of my stay.

The common areas and the room were very clean and tidy. The breakfast had a wide range of items and well worth the price. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good standards overall.

Nothing. Just a note regarding parking- the garage ( public parking though) is for max height 2.1m, not suitable for car with roof box. But you can park on the street and pay via app ( easy park).
We stayed over night, well situated, walking distance from centre, we could stay in double room with extra bed ( 2 children, 2 adults) The breakfast was amazing.

The room wasn't the cleanest, under the bed and furniture was dusty (kids dropped stuff under the bed and ottoman and had to reach so moved furniture a bit). We also didn't have the kids bed made at first and when the staff came to make it we saw the mattress was stained which puts one off. One of the plug sockets had come off the wall and the flush was broken so it would fill up and empty itself again. These weren't big deals in isolation but together bring the scoring down to just "good". Could be excellent especially in terms of value for money if little maintenance was a bit more on point.
We liked the location of the hotel, right by the FB40 bus stop from the airport, short walk to the center. Felt very safe, clean area. Very nice and helpful staff, mini mart at reception with a few basics, drinks and snacks. Also loved the ample and tasty breakfast options. Pool was easy to book, good size, not too busy thanks to booking system. The kids were offered a mocktail voucher which they were very excited about. It was nice to find a book about the town in the room too, gave us a few ideas of what to do.

The air-conditioning is working constantly, no way to turn it off, even when you use the heating.

We had requested an extra bed for my child and it was confirmed by them when we arrived the extra bed was not hthere and we had to ask for it twice before getting it. Cleaning was not regular and had to be explicitly requested but they forgot to tell us. I asked the second day and even if confirmed they didn't clean the room. I complained again and finally got the cleaning done.
The room was nice and big enough. The breakfast was rich and very enjoyable.

Asked to clean the room and nobody ever came. Swimming pool was closed but didn't look very appealing anyway.
The staff is wonderful and the breakfast had some vegan cheese and gluten free options.
