The hotel is in a great location and easy to walk to restaurants and shops . It overlooks the boat harbour . The breakfast was excellent .

The gitl at the reception should advise us that the parking just in front of the hotel is not owned by the hotel. We had a rent a car and we had to return it at the same tame as there was a check in in the hotel. So we made a very quick stop in front of the hotel just to drop our luggage. We took the luggage and when we got back there was already a ticket with a fine on the car. It was really a “warm welcome”. Than we rent bikes. There is no secure overnight storage for bikes in the hotel.

Every interaction with the staff prior to arrival was exceptional—very quick to respond and very helpful. Check in wasn’t as smooth and the lady who checked me in wasn’t friendly. Room had a view of a bar and was very noisy at night, waking me up several times throughout the night so I slept terribly. I repeatedly checked the window to be sure it was closed properly. Left for an early flight, and packed breakfast was mediocre at best (sandwich, apple, OJ, no coffee).

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel was centrally located.

Wish they have facial tissue box in the toilet, complimentary bottled water, floor mat and no door bell.

Scandic Ishavshotel is situated very conveniently in the city and have a wonderful view of the harbour, overlooking moutains, the Arctic Cathedral and residences. It is a very beautiful and peaceful sight. It is also near to many eateries, shopping belt and also to pick up points for organised tours. Great location! The room is reasonably size, we were able to open up two 30" luggages and still have walking space in the room. The bed was just a little soft for me but it did not give me any backache. The breakfast spread was wide and superb. Great choices of food, much to choose from.

Perfectly adequate right in the middle of Tromso. Nice rooms with picture window over the harbour to the cable car. Right in middle of town. Close to all the restaurants bars & shops. Excellent buffet breakfast. Would stay again without issue. A little pricey but perhaps not for Tromso.
