We had booked a compact room, one night stay as were passing by, surprised with the location of the room, ground floor, facing the wall and limited air/light exposure… quite disappointing considering 4* rating and not the lowest price either.

2 restaurants in site, great wine selection and really nice food - we dined at Italian Pergola, staff was really approachable too. Breakfast was good with decent selection.

We booked a family room four two adults and two teens. On arrival we realized that the room had two beds and a tiny sofa. After a long waiting time we got upgraded to a better room with four proper beds.

Room was very hot! . There was no air con nor a fan so had to open wiindows... Had to open curtains as they were blocking the breeze but of course then also let the light and noise in so didn't sleep well We were in a family room and, as usual, .the kids bed had a realy uncomfortable mattress.

Large, clean, and modern room with a huge walk-in shower. Nice to have a tv with streaming available to watch things off our phones. Superb breakfast.

Good location and very clean! We were on honeymoon and we received a nice surprise in our room as well as upgrade! Thank you for this beautiful gesture. Very clean and modern! Breakfast standard. Location good but we were a bit disappointed with Sogndal as a location in general.

Bedroom and room corridors rather dated and tendency for room doors to bang causing some disturbance.

Staff helpful and general areas of hotel nicely laid out and pleasantly decorated. Two restaurants to choose from and walk by river to fjord pleasant. Nice outside terrace if better weather.

We got a room in the old wing of the hotel to start but after complaining about several shortcomings, including some lights not working and the TV not working we were moved to the new wing, in a modern, more comfortable room. However, none of the rooms had luggage racks, a coffeemaker, a safe, tissue or even a phone to call the front desk. Rooms in the new wing did have AC.

Good location, great free breakfast, helpful staff, good on-site restaurants. Easy walking to shops, restaurants and the fjord.

One of the more expensive hotels we stayed in. Got lured on the new building but got a room in the old one. The room looked cluttered with different styles mashed together, not the “clean” nordic style we got used to on our trip. The dust filter in the bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in ages. I could see the dust seap through its sides. We had to pay additional price for parking- I'd understand if we had to pay for parking under the roof, but we were just standing next to the river. There’s no way of escaping that, because you don’t know this when entering the property and that’s just sad. I know it’s the season, but I’d try to find another hotel next time if I could.

Always a bit of a bugbear of mine when you have to pay to park at a hotel, so bear this in mind if you stay here. In no way would it stop me staying here, as it is a great hotel, but still annoying.

Overall a good experience. Great room, and a fabulous, pub restaurant within the building. Bar was relaxing and well stocked, with huge outdoor seating area, with wonderful views
