We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FinlandThere weren't a lot of guests which made us wonder why this all happened. Service wasn't friendly or welcoming. We were travelling with two dogs and were on our honeymoon why we asked beforehand extra private room to relax. Unfortunately we got a room next to the kitchen and had to woke up 5.30 in the morning for the chef's noisy breakfast making. Also the view was for the parking lot on the first floor. That's not that bad as that there were no soundproof at the room at all. Breakfast was really simple but cold products had already warmed up when we went to eat at 9.30.
The room was clean. View outside of the hotel was beautiful.

New ZealandI think the operators are unsure which part of the accommodation business they are in. Online, the booking description and name suggested hotel, with valet parking and restaurant, but the staff called it B&B. We had to pay for breakfast - fine if you're a hotel, but in my opinion, it's not fine if you're a B&B. Our room could have been self-contained as it had a full kitchen, but no plates, cooking or eating utensils.
Location and room size was good. The breakfast was good, despite having to pay for it in a B&B. We had an issue with our hot water in our bathroom - we were impressed at how quickly an acceptable solution was found.

AustriaLuckily, we went shopping before checking in and brought a cold snack. There was almost no crockery or cutlery in the small kitchen, so we couldn't have cooked a small dinner.
Due to a medical emergency, we arrived much later than planned. The staff had already gone home, but the key had been left for us and everything was sorted out with a quick phone call. It is a wonderful historic house with a lot of history and you can feel it in every corner. The view of the fjord is wonderful! The room and bathroom were big enough and perfectly clean. The beds were very comfortable! The breakfast buffet was exceptional and everything was freshly prepared.

United KingdomThe room was fine but the hotel itself could do with a little refurbishment of the main area's as they were looking a little tired.
Hotel location just off the road and right by the fjord where there is a small beach area to sit, sunbathe or even take a dip as the fjord is very shallow. We appeared to be the only tourists in the hotel other than a few workmen staying over. Probably because it was still considered low season (mid May). We were allocated a room which was perfectly adequate with a nice modern bathroom but we're told afterwards that we should have been given a better and bigger room and we were given the option to change. As we were settled we declined the offer. Dinner was made available and was very nice indeed, a Norwegian classic called bacalao, very tasty!! Staff friendly and helpful and spoke good English.

Very large room, even had a kitchen, very comfortable and quiet, what made the difference was the lovely host, I assume she owned the hotel, she made us a very good evening meal, very friendly and made us feel welcome. Good parking at the back and a covered section for my bike. Breakfast was good too. I liked it here a lot!
