The bed and breakfast did not serve dinner. Dinner choices in Dalen are very limited. The rooms are not sound isolated so noisy residents can be heard late at night.

Located in the town of Dalen at the end of the Telemark Canal running from Skien to Dalen. This is a picturesque town within driving distance of Oslo. The room is similar to a cabin being a low frills facility and more like a "glamping" experience than a hotel. There are multiple activities available from hiking to water sports. The owner is very knowledgeable on where to look for moose and will go out of his way to make your stay enjoyable.

There were stairs for our room. Cooling required open windows evening/night.

Oliver was great to ask questions and converse with. Breakfast was yummy. The museum/stave church nearby in Eidsborg held us longer than expected.

Price a bit to high for the location. Very simple bathroom

Breakfast was simple but nice prepared. House is nice and quite - Dalen is a very beautiful little "city". Few meters to the next restaurant and the special location is just 500 meters away: a Sauna in the lake

The bed was too soft for my taste but I still had a good night sleep.

The staff was very nice and welcoming and some even spoke French with us which was pleasant. The main room and the bathroom are rather spacious and functional, everything was clean. We were offered a nice selection of products for breakfast in a lovely breakfast room. The hotel has a very nice B&B flair. It is easily accessible from the main road and comes with free parking spaces. You can walk from the B&B to Bandak lake, passing by the famous Dalen Hotel, which made for a nice evening stroll for us as we were just staying in Dalen for the night. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this B&B !

A super room, small but as expected for the rate and my booking! very friendly staff (I think owner) - took all our motorbike-clothes for drying in his drying room, as we had rain all day for our ride. very good and many many THX for that support on bikers!!

The room was too small, so with two luggage’s it was tough to move around and not very comfortable.

We loved our stay in Dalen! The bed and breakfast was very cute and the host was very nice. We went in October so it was a bit quiet with very few places open but the location is great with close proximity to the grocery store, bakery and the sauna (highly recommend booking). Overall we enjoyed our 1-night stay and would definitely come back!

It’s super clean. Simply outstanding breakfast. Cheerful and very helpful manager. He saved us hours by checking on where we were going and when. We were informed about a road closure and the information that if you went at a certain time you could get through!

Stairs to room, room a bit small. Dalen is beautiful and there’s a Stave church and a museum and a lot to do in nature but we didn’t have the time. The roads around Dalen are closed most of the day in the summer and this created a big problem for us with a 2 hour detour getting there so if you’re looking for a short stop between Stavanger and Oslo it’s not recommended!!

Adorable functional and very clean and comfortable room in a beautiful quaint house. Amazing breakfast and Oliver was so helpful!! Charging stations for electric cars. Note that the road from the west is closed all summer (except for 1 hour a day) and this was a huge detour.
