Simple but with the Svalbard heritage spirit. Even the facility itself is located outside the town, the 20 min walk from a “center” offers you the first unique experience of Svalbard (you hear the birds, see raindeer, …).

Everything is good. Although the location is far, I saw Svalbard reindeer on the mountain on the way to the city center, and the scenery is beautiful while walking. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the bathroom was super clean.

The showers were amazing, clean and spacious. It was a wonderful touch that the buffet breakfast was included the price of your stay. A wonderful, peaceful place to stay with a fantastic common area with lots of games and books.

Note that most rooms have a shared bathroom, and there are (usually?) single beds and no double beds. However, these are old coal miner's cabins, so it adds to the authenticity! There's also 15 min of walking involved to get to the town centre.

Excellent budget option for Longyearbyen! Breakfast is very good "Norwegian style", and reception is quite cosy to hang out in. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will probably stay there next time as well!

Definitely exceeded expectations. I am a bit of a princess about bathrooms and struggle with anything but an en suite so a shared bathroom was a step outside the comfort zone. The bathrooms are individual, clean and well designed. Nothing like the usual shared hostel bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable and everything was super clean. The common lounge/dining area in the reception building is warm and exceptionally comfortable. Lovely and helpful staff. I would stay again in a heart beat.

Amazing! Brakefast is good and beds are comftable, one of cleanest hostels i ever been, everyone is frendly!! Staf is amazing and willing to help. Bus comes just in front of our hostel

Hotel located a bit far from the city center, but, on the other hand, you can enjoy the wildlife from your window. I liked it.

All receptionist were always polite and very helpful. They answered all the questions, provided with all necessary information about tours and locations, and did everything possible to fulfil any request. Many thanks to all of them. Breakfasts were nice, as well. The guy who served them, always tried to do his best for every tourist. Thanks.

Very friendly and responsive staff, good breakfast, great view from my window. Quiet. The central heating made the place very cosy in all areas!❤️ There was complimentary coffee at all times! I would be happy to stay again!

The kitchen is a mess, mostly thanks to guests without manners. But some kitchen stuff is also broken.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Very quiet surroundings with reindeers, geese and arctic foxes passing by. To look out my room window in the evening after a long day never got boring. I was hiking before my flight home in the evening. Despite Check Out in the morning I was allowed to use the bathroom before heading to the aiport which was very kind! Rooms and shared bathrooms are super clean.
