The only thing I have to say I didn’t love is that we didn’t get to experience the breakfast because it’s served at eight on the weekend :/ but overall it was amazing and they packed us a breakfast since we were leaving early in the morning

The location is great because it’s still central but it’s tucked away in a quiet street. This was probably the easiest check-in I’ve ever experienced - the lady at the front desk was efficient and kind and very informative. We had a free upgrade. The room was magnificent. There was windows to let in the cold crisp air of Norway. The bathroom was extremely spacious, modern and clean. Also, we were delighted with the snacks and the dinner served at the hotel complementary ! Overall, I would stay here again!!

Absolutely wrong is their policy of not cleaning the room every day. That is not acceptable, and it’s a silly policy that diminishes the rating of the hotel by 1 point. Also, when I was informed about this policy at the reception desk, I was told that I could still request the room to be cleaned; however, the following day nobody cleaned the room or replaced the towels. New towels were supplied upon request Furthermore, probably the staff at the reception is not well trained in terms of helping customers. For example, if I ask help to book at the taxi for the morning after, you need to be helpful and proactive.

The only drawback is the shower/tub combo...with a high threshold for the tub, I was unable to use that...not safe for older or wobbly guests. Maybe other rooms just have a shower feature...we didn't ask.

The hotel is in the PERFECT location in the heart of Bergen's waterfront. We were well-situated to explore all major highlights. Dinner and breakfast were included, making this a fantastic deal, and they were delicious. Dinner was a fixed menu, and well done, and the breakfast was amazing...offering so much variety and it was delicious. The room was great, comfortable, and a good size. Oh, they also has afternoon fika (tea/snack time) which was lovely. They have good sitting areas on the main floor...plenty of space to gather. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend this hotel in Bergen.

Accessible room had no slope for shower drain, had to make towel barrier so bathroom didn’t flood. Walls all damaged, painted over wallpaper is peeling, doors have unpatched holes, stained carpet in halls, paint splatter on baseboards. Not enough lighting in the room. Sink drained very slowly.

Great location, easy walk from train station, lots of transit nearby. Breakfast was excellent, though very crowded if you are there as it starts. Bed was comfortable.

It wasn’t just meeting the standard of a premium priced hotel. The staff were not attentive. The rooms were sub-standard. The toilet has a certain smell. Breakfast was just okay.

Great location in the heart of Bergen. Very good bed. Hotel staff are super friendly and helpful. Hotel offers complimentary "fika" at tea time and complimentary soup/salad/main-of-the-day at dinner time.

Unfortunately like many Europe hotels there were steps between Reception and our room, not too many, but enough to make you strain when carrying luggage.

Great location. We had a room facing the harbour and these are recommended. Very good size room. Excellent bathroom, with both shower and a separate bath.

Great location on the Bryggen harbour front. Fantastic breakfast including an area to sit out in good weather. Hôtel staff at reception and at breakfast were incredibly friendly and attentive. We upgraded to the front balcony room where we sat at the window and watched the world and boats go by. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We were told on arrival that - despite having paid in advance - the hotel was overbooked and we had been downgraded to another room without an option for compensation to that value. The reception staff on duty were on a lengthy phone call to a superior before we were told and as such were placed in an onerous guest facing situation with her superior obviously not having supplied go ahead for monetary compensation.

The location was perfect for accessing busses, trains and sites such as Bryggen historic quarter, restaurants, fish market, Fløybana. The breakfast was plentiful and continuously replenished by attentive staff.

There was no air conditioning and although it wasn’t really hot the window open at night meant there was a lot of noise from people outside late at night which was quite disruptive.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The staff were always friendly and happy to help if it was needed. The food was excellent and the bonus of all meals included was brilliant. The breakfast variety was amazing and the best we’ve had on a holiday. The size of the room was amazing especially as we had our teenage son with us it meant he had his own little area to himself which was a real bonus.
