The only way to communicate with staff once we were in the cabin was with a Norwegian phone number (which we don’t have).

The cabin was adorable, had everything we needed, and the views were unbeatable.

    A little pricey.

The little house was great. It had a washing machine in it so we could do our laundry while hiking. The food on the premises was fine, nothing fancy. No breakfast. Close to the glacier which made things easy and nice. The parking there was free but you had to let them know you had a car or there is a charge.

A cosy, comfortable cabin just a walk away from a rushing river, towering mountains, thundering waterfalls and a spectacular glacier. This property has everything you need for a stay that will remain in your memory for years to come.

Not to do with the accommodation, but very cheeky or the Briksdalbreen people to place the chargers in a paid parking area. 30 minutes free then minimum 10 hour payment of 80k. It just does not seem right

An isolated cabin full of trinkets and charm like it belonged to your grandmother. Views from every window, comfortable bed, good facilities, spacious, wood fire. We cannot fault this accommodation.

Far from center , far from any shop or restaurant around (30 min drive) …. And restaurant in place closes at 17:30 so its better to bring food before arriving from supermarket . Water is expensive (55 NOK) , so also bring drinks with you

Location is exactly on the briksdal glacier , walking distance … The recaption were super nice and helpful Apartment was so new and clean ! Free parking

    No, nothing of note.

First, its location is fantastic by sitting right at the entrance of the Briksdalsbre trail. For nature lover it's unbeatable with sights of glacier, waterfall, forest and mountain. The cabin we stayed at bodes well with the environment, with all the modern comforts needed, like bedroom, kitchen, sitting room, cooking facilities, etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money too.

They should add a squeegee in the bathroom for wiping the water off the floor after a shower. Also they should add dishwashing soap for washing dishes in the sink.

The cabin was in a very scenic location. While close to the lodge and glacier and campground, it was separate and private.

It wasn’t super clear where you have to check-in to the hotel (it’s at the kafeteria), nor that you needn’t pay for parking. We moved our car to a underpass area for guests that’s hidden from view - but once we found out and were given a refund no problem.

Obviously you can’t get closer to the glacier! The room was a little dated but spacious, clean and comfortable. The waterfall creates a kind of white noise and I slept so well. Despite being very busy with visitors in their coach-load during the day, the site becomes very quiet in the evening and it feels like you have much of the facility to yourself!

The room was clean but it didn’t feel clean. The floor felt really gritty and I had to wear socks the whole time. Keep in mind that these are more like guest rooms in an isolated area than a proper hotel, so there’s really limited options for dining or other amenities.

The location is amazing! The rooms overlook a rushing river and you’re in walking distance to a waterfall and glacier. There’s a covered outdoor area with a fireplace that’s perfect for hanging out after a busy day of sightseeing.
