The WiFi was very inconvenient, it required re-logging in with username and password literally every 10 minutes. The microwave door metal net seems to be damaged. I’m no expert, but it looked like something that could potentially cause a radiation leak, so it might need attention

Staff were very accommodating when I arrived near the finish time for breakfast. Breakfast was more than satisfactory too. Having a bus stop and supermarket on-site was real bonus also.

Clean and good. We enjoyed the common area as we were a group. Perfect hotel if you have a flight to catch. We enjoyed taking a little hike up the shore to the cave. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Water ventil in shower needs rinsing, the water fills up the shower cabin floor.

Getting in after dark was a bit like the crystal maze, but actually close inspection of the instructions eventually made sense

Reasonably priced accommodation in a great location for exploring the local area. Frequent local buses in all directions on the doorstep. Good quality supermarket on site. Great little cafe serving unlimited breakfast The staff team seemed to be small in number but they were well motivated And I loved the coffee from the machine on the landing

I would have liked for the curtains to cover the entire window, felt a little like people outside could watch me sleep.

The staff Liene is excellence and very helpful. She booked the bus ticket from hotel to airport for me. She was double checking with her friend that the bus would come to pick me up at 5am. I had enough time for security checking for my flight @6:20am. The airport bus FB65 stops at the front of the hotel.

The location is not very idyllic, on a parking lot above a supermarket. It's convenient when coming from the airport. Ålesund city is about a 10 minute drive, which mainly consists of two 4km tunnels that are pretty steep. For me that was a bit of a threshold, staying in the city itself would make a quick stroll or coffee easier.

I stayed at the regular hotel (above the Kiwi supermarket) from 8-10 August and at the mini motel, a separate little building with cheaper rooms, from 24-25. The rooms are decent, the cheaper ones are quite small with little room to store your luggage, but the beds are good (the motel beds cannot be put together to make a 2-person bed, though). The breakfast is included in the hotel, optional to buy for 159 NOK as motel guest and avaible until 9:30 am on weekdays, 10am on Saturdays and 11am on Sundays. It's pretty good: bread, croissants, fruit yoghurt, pancakes, cheese, fish, meats, lots of spreads, three kinds of eggs and the possibility to compose a full English breakfast. I did encounter the occasional older bread and cold pancake though, it's not star quality but good value for money. The hotel has a sort of terrace with a nice view of the sea and the next island, which was not used by anyone else during our stay - we enjoyed some tea there. All room types have a (mini) fridge, the motel rooms also have a microwave and water cooker, the hotel has a machine that provides coffee and hot water.

Dining room - could have been cosier. Menu - could have been more choice. No kettle in room - though think this was just a mistake. Had to leave at 5 in the morning but front doors all locked up and couldn’t get out - so bit of a panic as had to catch a flight. Got it sorted but not good. Not so near Airport as I thought so a £30 plus taxi drive. Very good to have an hotel out there and don’t mind basic but it could be improved.

This was just a short stop for us midway through a long drive. It was quite small but adequate. A bed to sleep on and a shower to clean up. It was clean and affordable and close by to several things you may desire to see.
