How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

curtain bedroom could be improved it may be useful to indicate that the cofee machine is not Nespresso (in fact it is better, but maybe noit what users expect))

We had a small issue with the rooms and the manager fixed it immediately taking action and solving it. It is only when problems arise that you see how good the staff is in looking afer you.

We took appartment with 2 bedrooms. However the noise in one of the bedroom was very annoying, coming from the technical room and probably other levels ( ventilation). Need to have ear plugs... Only 1 key is provided
The apartment is big, well located in the center of Enschede. Everything is provided.

We were there at the time of an event and sometimes it can be a bit noisy, but that is the 'danger' of being in the city centre... 😉
Smack in the centre of Enschede, with all the vibrant cafes and restaurants around you. One bed room apartment with sleep sofa (which was surprisingly comfortable) allowing for 4. Full kitchen with dishwasher and kitchenware, towels, linnen, a smart TV and working (fast) WiFi.

It was very hot, in spite of the fan and air conditioning which we were unable to adjust.
Location is great, right at the heart of the centre, very close to the Oude Markt area. This apartment was clean and modern, with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The shower is clean, good water pressure although we had a problem with no hot water on the first morning, it was quickly resolved by staff on site.

The location is amazing, right in the city centre! The apartment is fully equipped with a fully loaded kitchen (dishes, utensils, dishwasher, oven, ect). Everything was clean and comfortable, and the balcony was a really nice touch. Overall, really good!

The communication from the hosts was none existent which is worrying when your travelling from overseas but once communication was made we were straight in ( this wasn’t until we were stood outside the door) It’s on a very busy street so I suggest ear plugs also if your in room 1 expect noise from other residence who love to make lots of noise when entering the building It’s a bit of a goldfish bowl in the bedroom Venetian blinds would be far better and a nice pair of black out curtains it would make a massive difference Also the shower floor needs a good descale it’s gone that horrible orange brown colour The pillows are also in need of changing flat and lumpy bumpy very poor quality These are only minor things and could easily be rectified Except the noise but as I say earplugs
The location was amazing 5 minutes from the train station 30 seconds from bars cafes It was very spacious and had everything needed for a short stay plenty of towels toilet rolls dishwasher tablets it’s quiet clean just needs a bit of an extra scrub in areas Really good WiFi A big comfy bed even a vending machine at the entrance We enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook but just wouldn’t want room 1

Kitchen utensils were minimum (only a few pots for cooking and no sharp knives). Also no bathroom products (except hand soap), so should bring these yourself. Email communication via Booking was not answered, but the team were always available on the phone.
Great, modern apartment will sufficient space and all you need. Located right in the city center and a parking garage (paid for) conveniently nearby. Comfortable bedroom and additional sleeping space in the living room. Basics life tea, coffee, salt and pepper, dishwasher tablets and soap were available. Smooth check-in process, with the option to pay at the property.

We had an issue with the digital key, which did not work. We could not get in and when we called by phone/whatsapp nobody was answering. There was no instructions on how to find physical key so we had to look ourselves. Paint on the walls is starting to crack. We hope that we will not encounter the same issue next time and we are looking forward to our next visit to Enschede

A washing machine and a dryer will elevate the already high scored stay
We stayed (2 adults and to kids 13 and 15 years old) at one bedroom apartment for 6 nights. Our apartment was super clean and well equipped. I personally appreciate the mid stay clean which was provided free of charge and the cleaning lady was very helpful and friendly. The location is also ideal as you can find everything you need on walking distance. It’s highly recommended though to rent bikes if you want to see the beautiful surroundings in Enschede and the small town around it. The host was always responsive and very friendly too! I highly recommend it and I will definitely stay at the residence again in the future.

The pillows were too soft for me, but that's more of a personal preference :) I think they were machine washed, because the filling was turned into balls. There was an old stain on the couch.
The location is perfect! The apartment is big and spacious. The kitchen has everything you need, if you want to cook.
