The apartment is situated in an old Dutch house, with the steepest stairs I’ve seen in my life. If you have a lot of luggage this might become a huge issue.

Amazing location, short walk distance from almost everything. You choose whether it’s quiet Jordaan or busy Damrak, both are literally around the corner. The apartment is rather small but it had everything I needed for a comfy 3 night stay.

The stairs were very steep so just be weary if that’s any issue for you, however we found we got used to it and it didn’t take away from the experience at all!

Everything was brilliant here. From the get go, communication with Chris the host was super easy and he reached out to organise check in time a few days before we arrived. When we arrived he was prompt to meet us and gave us a tour of the apartment as well as creating a booklet full of important information about Amsterdam (do’s & dont’s, nearest cafes, grocery stores, museums etc.) which was very helpful and super thoughtful! He even left some fruit, waffles, juice and beer for us! The room itself was perfect with just enough space to be comfortable and not cramped, plus it had a smart tv and LED lights for great nights in. Its location was in perfect walking distance of everything.

The room has a comfortable bed, good shower and great location to visit the city by foot. But what makes this place special are the little details added by the host. Apart from the lovely treats you get during your stay, the room has a magnifying little mirror (if you're over 40s this is essential!), hairdryer and straighteners, good amount of towels (even those small ones for your face), drinks, room to store your clothes, etc. The room is also cleaned every day. Communication with the host was great and we were allowed to do an early checking. Definitely staying here again next time in Amsterdam.

Its not negatives, as i expected it based from reviews, but worth knowing: steep stairs at entrance, more like a ladder, but that's common in Amsterdam, but if you have a buggy or children it might be tricky. No view from a room except small courtyard. But again if you are in Amsterdam and sit in the room looking at window, you are doing something wrong...

Host was amazing, friendly and put a few beers and treats in the room. Which were renewed when the room was cleaned. We had a bedroom a bathroom and a small room with table perfect for all the luggage. Location is very central, walked everywhere from there.

Being in a 1650 building, the room is quite small. Keep in mind, no closet for your luggage. There are some shelves and hooks which help. Very steep stairs too but good hand rails and Chris will help you with your luggage!

The host, Chris, was wonderful. He has provided lots of extra touches to make the room special. The location is excellent. It is very quiet at night too. Interesting to stay in a building built in 1650. It's nice to have a mini kitchenette! Great shower too!

Only slight downside would be syeep stairs. Not an issue for us but would be if have mobility issues.

Excellent location, 10-15 mins walk from station and into main city centre or few mins walk to tram. Room was well equipped with all you needed e.g. coffee machine, hair dryer etc. Great communication from owner and daily clean of room was offered too.

If you don't like climbing stairs each time you want to enter or exit the flat, this place is not for you. There are 22 steps to our flat, quite steep so lugging heaving luggage up and down is a bit tricky.

We stayed over Christmas, for just 3 nights. It was a small but cosy studio with comfy beds and soft pillows. Lovely big windows overlooking the street below. It was relatively quiet given the windows are single glazed and our flat was facing the street. NB: For Winter Travellers. Because of the single glazed windows and no ventilation in the flat, the windows will be dripping with condensation during the night, leaving the curtains damp and the flat feeling cold as well. I strongly advise that you open a window, just a couple of inches to allow some airflow, while keeping the air conditioner on at about 23 or 24 degrees C. Trust me, it will make your stay that much more pleasurable and will ensure your windows remain free from that dreadful condensation. I love the bowl of treats provided to us daily, including some fruit but also some "munchies". The location is superb...right smack bang in the middle of the city, walking distance to the Red Light District. There's a cafe directly beneath the flat and a Coffeshop just a few hundred yards from the flat. The shower was lovely too, good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The included gels and shampoo was a nice touch.

Stairs leading up to the room are very steep but this is normal with canal properties. A door separating sleeping space from the toilet is thing folding partition

The only thing we could pick out was that there were no bags in either of the bins which was odd but that was it.

Host was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Provided us with lots of additional information. Room was gorgeous. Comfortable bed and very clean.

The pillows were sooo soft which makes you uncomfortable to sleep.

The Sunflower is very close from everything; from train station which is in Amsterdam centraal that takes you to the airport about 20 min. This place is awesome that is very close from all touristy places by walking in minutes. The room is cozy and it has so many things; fruits, water, juice, chocolates, waffles, hair straightener and hair dryer, coffee and tea, umbrella, shampoo, etc. Bed sheets has been changed based on request as well as towels. Room is very very very clean everyday. Chris on the other hand was very helpful in everything. He is amazing, any time I have a question he is there to assist. He is nice and kind. Thank you Chris, you made our stay nice and calm. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to visit Amsterdam because it is very close from anything you want to do.
