The only minor thing was the room was downstairs close to the side entry door, so we heard people going in and out early morning.

Not really a complaint, but with all the beautiful extras, I missed having tissues in the room. The one other thing was that there was no fridge in the room, and I missed having one to pop in some cold drinks - however, this was my fault for not checking this when booking.

This hotel is set in a beautiful old church and looks spectacular. The rooms are modern and very tastefully furnished with boutique touches such as fresh orchids and velvet swivel armchairs. The accessories such as coffee machine, robe, slippers and beautiful toiletries were a great touch, as were the complimentary chocolates. Location was excellent - a short walk from train station and shops, cafes and restaurants all around. A lovely place.

We stayed in the Deluxe Double Room on the ground floor with the painted ceiling and fireplace which was all absolutely stunning. The only issue was with the spotlights which we felt didn't light up the room very well (either too dark or too bright depending on where you are in the room). Some more lamps in the room would maybe help, A small gripe though as this is a really special place to stay.

Lovely hotel in a converted Statenzaal (local government building), centrally located in gorgeous Zwolle. The hotel staff were really friendly and treated us to a tour of the stunning events space upstairs. Breakfast was amazing too!

There is nothing that I didn't like, but I think that it would be nice to add some instructions on how the heating system works, I haven't had any issues with it anyway.

The building is incredibly well-preserved. While it maintains the ambiance of a historic monument, the rooms are impressively modern. The layout is thoughtfully designed, making the space feel much larger than it actually is. A spacious closet in the room is an added bonus. The bathroom’s modern design is striking, and the high-quality toiletries are a nice touch. There’s even a pillow menu providing information on the current pillows on the bed, and you can request a third type if desired. By the way, the pillows are fantastic! The staff is exceptionally friendly and always willing to help. The courtesy water bottles are a thoughtful detail that often goes unnoticed, but I appreciated it! The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. If you're planning to visit Zwolle, this hotel won’t disappoint.

This is a very special hotel which has been sensitively established within a protected historic building. The adaptions have been done carefully to preserve the original features whilst providing guests with very high quality modern facilities. The architect, designers and owner have done a fantastic job. The staff were super helpful too. Definitely the most amazing hotel I've ever stayed in.

On the other hand, 80% of the time there is no one at the reception (if you can call it a reception), the guys are not far and you can call them,and they will try to assist. The is no breakfast as you could expect in a 4 star hotel instead of a buffet breakfast you get a nice box, with no selection, or you get a voucher to a coffee shop owned by the hotel owner Air condition - there is one, but you cannot control it! At day is was feezing, they told me I can operate the heater but it was not working. So air condition - not controllable No one came to see/arrage my room for the whole 4 nights! not even once. No other hotel services, no gym or any other service you may expect from a 4 or even 3 stars hotel. There is no real desk if you want to work in the room Overall - know what to expect - It may eitehr be your perfect choice or not depending on what you need

Well, it is not possible to rate this hotel using a linear scale.. On one hand, the room is a 5+ star room, On the other hand, the services are of a 2-3 star hotel So balancing the score is very indevidual and depends on what you need from it. In more details, see the pros and cons Exceptional room, large, luxury , wow effect - I even had 2 orchid (real ones) in the room , Good TV, large bed, amazing bathrom, wifi I got the room in discount price, worthed avery penny. Great location. The parking is about 200m away, but it worked well in a town that has very little parking. But the parking deck was locked up by the time we finished dinner and went to fetch our baggage. The seven hotel rooms are brand new — opened in June 2023. They did a fantastic job on the upfit. Beds comfortable. Bathroom was great. Large tub out in the room. All was very comfortable! Staff was very friendly — as is everyone in Zwolle!

I would have liked a mini bar in the room. There was a fridge with water, but it would have been nice to have some drinks as well.

The location was amazing and the room even more ! The vibe in the room was really lovely. The bath in the room was amazing, as the shower in the bathroom. Loved the TV in front of the bed that could be hidden as well! There was a very nice coffee machine with excellente coffee and to bonbons as wel !

A very nice place to stay in the Zwolle city center! Arrived in very late time due to the delayed train. But the staff was very helpful to welcome my friend and me at the entrance. The room was clean and comfortable.

Just starting out, this place will have to settle in to a rhythm. Having a way to access the property if you're checking in late would be high on that list. And shower gel for an unprepared traveller would be nice, but not staying often at hostels, I don't know if that's expected.

After getting stranded with train issues, I booked at 23:00 and showed up a little later. There was no way to get in as they we're just getting started, but the owner called back within minutes and came over quickly. He showed me and another passenger around and even made my bed as I was to tired to try. Had a great hot shower before turning in. Bed was comfortable and the room was functional. I can't tell how it would be with the noice if more people were on the same floor, as we both had a floor to ourselves. Everything was spotless. Next morning a great espresso to wake up was available in the fun common room. Location can't be beat in the centre of beautiful Zwolle. But that service was heartwarming in the circumstances.

The hotel reception was unattended. You had to call if no one was there, and it took about ten minutes for someone to show up at check-in. In the morning, at checkout, there was no one there again, and the answering machine said no one would be available until 7:00, but it was already much later. Not exactly the experience I'd expected for a hotel that's quite expensive.
