How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

we had a step up room (the like of which never had) but found it to be fine except that the toilet was downstairs and if needed during the night, a bit of a chore. Breakfast was fine. the usual you''d find on the continent. Found the basin in the bathroom rather small.

The ground floor was rather cold (our stay was in January).
The room with two levels was very nice, comfortable and practical. The bathroom is indeed small, but it's not a problem. The room is excellent for two people.

I did noit get the invoice I asked for. I wrote an email, got no answer. Instead, I keep receiving some newsletter in dutch language, which I did not subscribe for. It is a pity, the hotel is perfect, but obviously they do not care for clients from the past or their philosophy does not include, that a happy client comes again!

The staircase to the room in the hotel is very difficult. Our balcony had not been cleaned for a while
The restaurant is quite outstanding. Fine food perfectly and imaginatively cooked and presented. Deserves a special Star!

There was a musty smell in the bathroom that unfortunately could also be smelled in the rest of the room at a certain point. When I reported this, I was told that in room 8 (my room) and room 9 the sewage drains of the different rooms came together and that might be the cause. However, they had never had any complaints about this 🥴.

Getting 3 phone calls from 11pm when i was asleep asking what time i would be checking in ( i had checked in 5 hours earlier). The staircase is steep and the bathroom is small and downstairs

The heathers have a special method of being regulating but we had some problem because 2 were not working properly. So that can be better.
The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was good. Personal was friendly and helpful.

Nice too have the split… but had leak at bck fire 🔥 door entrance (Mornings) from gutter Bed was Uncomfortable 😣 and weird layout (Tv over desk) (Double bed lay out) plus not list inroom too let ye knw if mini bar is price(didn’t use) but friendly staff..But Great 👍 Restaurant..the Main 🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️Rating.

The bathroom was small and the shower area tiles needed cleaning.
The room was very comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was good and plentiful.

Bathroom! But it appeared ours was between the last to be renovated... The rooms are around a kind of square, this can be a bit noisy when people our sitting/smoking there. But not on our day.
The smallest bathroom (with toilet) I have ever seen. Tap had to be fitted on the right side of the sink, the shelf of 12 cm deep didn't hold my toilet bag. Mold between the tiles under the shower. Room on the first floor was great. Good bed and airco, nice when it's 30 °C outside. Breakfast was also very good, fresh, eggs, bacon and everything else. We could have breakfast outside (near a road).

The stairs within the apartment are not for the faint hearted!
We were content with the accommodation. The breakfast was adequate. The dinner was an amazing experience.
