Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

New ZealandIn the evening, it was noisy from people in the area enjoying the Amsterdam nightlife. Unfortunately when we stayed the noise interfered with our sleep well into the early hours of the morning.
The property is in a great central location with an easy walk to anywhere in central Amsterdam. The room was very comfortable and clean with the best view out over the canal. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe breakfast had little choice for the price - we should have tried the coffee shop on the other side of the canal. Beware of the bicycles they seem to think they have priority over any living creature! And avoid taxi's they are a complete rip off, the trams are brilliant. Not the greatest place for vegetarians but I'm pretty good at making do.
The room was beautiful with a lovely view of the canal and boats passing by. The location was excellent for art galleries and central to many key venues, there is a tram stop just meters away. The staff were very welcoming and not at all intrusive, everyone spoke really good English. Three nights was just about perfect for us.

United KingdomThe shower was quite weak and the temperature gauge was off, so very hot! The front door couldn’t be independently opened, this was being worked on while we were here - this was not really an issue as staff were quick to answer. The AC was a little loud.
The interior design of the hotel was stunning, very modern and full of light and character. Courtyard is so peaceful and a fantastic feature. We loved that in our room the toilet and shower were separate. The layout of the room was one of the best we have stayed in (we are very well travelled). The staff were extremely polite, friendly and attentive. There was nothing they wouldn’t do to help. We liked the smaller touches, such as the sanitary bags in the toilet from the wall, the view, amount of windows. Location was faultless, 99% of attractions are walkable and if not the tram is on your doorstop. The neighbourhood and surrounding area is ideal, classy and surprisingly quiet. We loved Giorgio, who was so welcoming!

AustraliaI had to point out some details in my room eg my tea cups not being replaced etc that would be expected to be done in a hotel of this calibre - needless to say these things were quickly rectified the next day. Also, I enjoyed climbing the stairs but something to be mindful of!
The hotel is perfectly situated on a canal and close to the museums, city centre, shops and cafes/restaurants. The room was beautifully styled and overlooked a deep courtyard. It is an historic building , retaining period features including a staircase typical of canal houses. Staff member, Wolf, was especially friendly and helpful with advice on places to go as well as navigating the streets. I enjoyed our chats!
