Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe bedroom itself did not have any windows (although the sitting room attached did have one). For cyclists, it is several kilometres to find a cafe, restaurant or supermarket, and the hotel's restaurant was not operating when we stayed. Our GoogleMap directions led us initially to locked iron gates at the back of the property, which confused us. There no sign and when we rang the hotel for clarification, we got no answer. We had to ask some passersby to get directions around the large grounds to the main entrance on the other side.
This is a lovely old heritage building set in the middle of very spacious grounds in parkland. It exuded grandeur from the past, with sweeping entrance stairs. The staff were helpful and cordial and upgraded our room. The view from the window was over grazing horses through trees to a road. Very tranquil. The accommodation was spacious.

United StatesIt’s not a bad thing, but if you don’t have a car, be prepared for a bit of a walk into town should you need a store. Easy enough to access from bus from Amsterdam Sloterdijk
Beautiful property, very peaceful.

United StatesMy room was in the attic and it was BOILING even on a cool night where you’d need to wear a sweater outside. All they had was one small fan to cool off the room and there was no window in the bedroom. I was sweating so much I had to sleep on the couch in the sitting area by the only window. They also charge you €25 to do a late check out until 12 except what they advertise is not really true, because they’ll charge you €25 if you stay 5 minutes last 11 AM, so I wish I hadn’t rushed to get out of there as I could’ve taken my time and stayed until 12 since they were going to charge me anyways!! Also, breakfast is very expensive. A continental breakfast plus juice and coffee cost me 44 euros.
Beautiful building. Feels like you’re living in a farmhouse mansion in the middle of the countryside. Easy 20 min drive from Amsterdam airport and much nicer than staying in the city. There are horses and a huge property to walk around with trails and lots of chairs to sit and lounge outside. You can also rent bikes. Breakfast was delicious, filling, and substantive. Cool bar inside too for the evening.

NetherlandsA unique hotel set in an extraordinary countryside location. The experience was wonderful — the staff were welcoming, the breakfast was delicious, and each room had its own special design. The surroundings are stunning and peaceful, with beautiful views of horses from the room window. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway

United Arab EmiratesThe room had plastic chairs (it’s an eco hotel) and there was no requested gluten free substitute for the flatbreads.
Stunning building set in beautiful surroundings with wild flower meadows and nearby woodland. The coffee and round cake thing on a stick was out of this world.

NetherlandsFood and service were amazing but the room needed maintenance on a door knob and there was an empty tea canister. Small details that would make the difference between 9 and 10 stars.
High quality food, truly above expectations. Best vegan hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. So fresh and friendly staff. Beautiful grounds and green views.

United KingdomIt took some time for the owner to come to reception when we arrived - we arrived late and were concerned stagflation had left for the day but we were eventually greeted by the host and shown to our room and the honesty bar.
Everything was fantastic. It was floor to ceiling and wall to wall a delightful sensory experience!. There were exquisite paintings, art books, and interior decor that could be explored at leisure. We also hired hotel bikes and cycled into Harlem for a day trip, which was also so good and definitely one to return to and repeat in the future.

GermanyThe only complaint I have which is not about the estate directly is the horse riding club outside. We observed one of the horses acting up and trying to gain the attention of the keepers and we just felt really bad for the horse. It might be important to say here that I think the exploitation and monetisation of animals is bad in any circumstance.

Netherlandsas stated in the Hotel's brochure it's a bit noisy and water takes a long time to heat up, aprox 5 min The breakfast was a bit poor. we ordered cinnamon buns but they where black when we got them and when we discussed this with the waiter he mentioned that he would take them off the bill, but couldn't make any other ones, because it took to long and he always made them this way.
