Being American, was concerned about no AC. We lucked out that the weather was very cool during our stay and the fans were more than sufficient.

The daily breakfast, delivered to the room was amazing (croissants, whole grain bread, cheese and ham, yogurt, fresh squeezed orange juice, and fruit). Loved the location. It's a little outside of the city centre (about 1/2 mile), but we chose that location- right on the canal, very quiet, and near a small neighborhood with restaurants and shops. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Bathroom was modern and very clean. Overall, a great hotel.

Stairs were step but that is to be expected of old Dutch properties. Studio felt a little cramped

We stayed at the hotel when the weather was 30degrees, there was a fan in the room but no air conditioning - it was very warm.

The hotel is in a lovely location overlooking the canal ideal for exploring Utrecht. We had a room on the top floor that was comfortable and nicely decorated, the bathroom was modern and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location is perfect (quieter area but one of the most beautiful parts of the city), the breakfast was delicious and very reasonably priced for what you get. And the staff are all so nice.

Lots of stairs up to our room but we were prepared for that. One bathroom, which we were prepared for, but another mirror or two in the place would have helped!

Beautiful location, right by the canal and shops / restaurants but also had a peaceful, quiet and safe vibe. Good kitchen & layout for a family of four. Lots of windows for fresh air.

Location on canal. Bars within walking distance but in quiet peaceful area. Easy walk to town and to train station

I didnt like that you couldn't open up the windows much at all (maybe 15cms max), so the room because a bit stuffy during the warmer days without proper ventilation. A small floor or portable fan would be a nice touch. I also didn't like that while the place provided a hot plate, and some very very basic kitchenware, it did not provide a small skillet, or pot. So the hot plate was useless, unless you bring your own cookingware or buy a cheap, disposable one.

The hotel has an amazing location and beautiful views from the front facing rooms, overlooking a gorgeous section of the Oudegracht (Old canal) in Utrecht. The room is tastefully decorated in a vintage style, with nice touches here and there. Lighting is very nice.

Pricy :)

Perfectly situated in the heart of the city and still in a very quiet part of the main canal (Oude Gracht) Even sitting on your table with your partner and watching the canal while sharing a bottle of wine or coffee would be very much enough to live the atmosphere of Utrecht. Antique mirrors and beatiful paintings on the high ceiling walls make the room so lovely. Although we are all day walking travellers we happened to find ourselves in the room occasionally while strolling in the city :) You can pick an umbrella from the reception in rainy days, rent a bike for 10€ from the nearby train station (Vaartsche Rijn Station) and rent a canoe when you walk 50 meters to the left. (10 € per person per hour).

No cleaning, our beds werent made. Maybe ot was meaning to be that way, but we weren't told.

The stairs are challenging, but staff offered to help carry baggage, which was very nice.

Breakfast was outstanding. Watching the passing canal traffic was endlessly entertaining. Every staff person was pleasant and helpful.
