No one about when checking out but no problem i left key on reception desk.

All fine, nice hotel it dated but everything functional. Shower, wifi, room, bed etc all good. Good location 10 min walk to main square and right next to station. Breakfast fine hot bacon and eggs and cereals etc. Ring bell to get in if door shut during reception times when arriving. Key to room also opens front door when going out.

Nothing bad to note, but a few things to keep in mind: The hotel reception is not manned between 12:00 and 16:00, so if you happen to arrive within this time, there is no option to leave your luggage behind before you check in. The hotel is very clear about this in their pre-arrival communication, so as long as you keep this in mind when making your travel arrangements this won't be a problem. We arrived just before noon, so we were able to store our luggage at the hotel and enjoyed a nice afternoon in the town centre before checking in. Also, just to note, the main stairs from the first floor to the hotel lobby are quite steep. This is common in the Netherlands, especially in older buildings, but if you have mobility issues, you might want to check with the hotel first before booking.

Perfect location, right opposite the train station and only a short walk away from the cozy town centre. Rooms had everything we expected, but we especially loved the very comfy bed, the clean bathroom, nice shower and Rituals shower amenities! Our room on the first floor was also very quiet, especially given its location, which was a big plus. The breakfast area in the hotel is very cute and nicely decorated (e.g. the lovely crockery!). When eating breakfast, you have a great view onto the Stationsstraat with its beautiful historical houses. Breakfast itself was wonderful and felt homely, with homemade granola, greek yogurt, but also eggs and good quality bread with all the (Dutch) trimmings possible. The breakfast is serviced in shifts, so you always have that 'boutique' and personable feel, it's never busy! Last but not least, loved the sustainability efforts the hotel is making, which were noticable in our room as well as at breakfast. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Old Dutch!

Breakfast is good but the area is too small, not a big a deal though, but a bit uncomfortable to get in/off of your chair/table.

We arrived earlier than check-in time but they allowed us to drop our lugagge in one of the rooms that was already ready. There is coffee machine that you can get coffee/tea/milk at any time, which is a plus.

Room was ok and clean but very basic, although it did have a small fridge. Breakfast was nice but in a small area so was quite cramped. You book a slot which is good but still not a lot of room. More like a b&b than hotel but served us well as there was secure bike storage.

Lovely location. Good secure bike storage. Comfortable bed. Nice toiletries. Tea & coffee available free all day. Good choice for breakfast. Was ok for a couple of nights. Beautiful flowers outside.
