Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe original room was great. It was an upgrade from what I originally booked. However I booked for twin beds. I complained and got a new room with twin beds. THIS ROOM STANK and it was a lot smaller. I went back to the front desk and got my original room back. The bed problem was fixed by supplying 2 single sheets to the big king size bed. However even in this room (suite) there was a bad smell in the bathroom. The easy fix was to add water to the bath and shower, to close off the siphon-trap from the sewage smell. This should be standard practice by the staff every time a room is cleaned. The siphons dry up when not used, and especially after a period of hot dry weather. I recommend adding 'fill siphons' to cleaning checklist to solve the 'stinky' problem. What worries me is that the front desk was aware of the smell problem. It was a common complaint.
The room was great. It was a major upgrade from what I originally booked so I shouldn't complain. Breakfast was good too. I missed having bacon with my eggs, but there was more than enough choice in food.

GreeceHad to wait about an hour and a half to get our room, after the indicated check-in time (15:00). If I wouldn’t have bothered the reception team regularly, it might have been even longer. At some point, around 16:20, one of the reception staff berated me for not having patience. I wouldn’t call that customer friendly behaviour. When we finally got the room keys (16:30), and entered the room, we found out that the trash bins had not been emptied, but we were very tired to take up another battle at that time. The rest of the room seemed (hopefully) very clean.
Spacious room, well equipped, very comfortable beds, nice bathroom. The hotel is in the vicinity of the train station and the city center.

Perfect location for tourism, minutes away from the main railway station and within walking distance from the city centre. The area seemed very safe, too. The room was clean, well equipped and modern. It even had both EU and UK sockets. We didn't stay for long, but we surely didn't notice any issues. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast with a lot of variety. Extended duration, too! We woke up pretty late and still managed to have a nice breakfast with no rush.
