Breakfast could have been of a higher quality for the price. No airconditioning in room but there was a fan.

Very nice spacious room with large bathroom (shower and bath) and separate toilet. Comfortable bed. Great location, right in the city centre and closeby shops, restaurants and public transport.

We wish there was more storage space in the bathroom and the room itself. For example, the nightstands are single top tables with no lower shelf. While the bathroom sink was very nice, large and long; very little space for bathroom items. My wife put one of the nightstands in the bathroom to hold her items. I had very little but still had to put on the edge of the tub. A simple table under the sink or and attached 3 inch shelf above the sink would have been a great addition. And in the room, even the smallest of refrigerators would be nice. This is an older property with interesting stairs (which we are finding common in this area). If you like staying in interesting places, this may be for you. If you want the American hotel experience, not for you.

Comfortable bed. Was able to check in early and if not, could have left our luggage. Great location not too far from the train station with grocery store within 3 minute walk. Excellent restaurant next door. For the Netherlands, spacious room in a historic building probably ??500 years old. Friendly staff.

A historic building in the centre of Haarlem, there are a lot of great things about this property.

It's an old property, so no air conditioning, but most of the time that won't be a problem. I thought since it was a B&B, breakfast would be included. It's not.

I thought the bathroom in our suite was great. The suite was spacious and comfortable. It would work well for families with an attic room with bunkbeds in it.

MAF hotel is beautiful and comfortable. The staff were great. Just a few things were missed, the rain shower head didn’t work, the provided toiletries were not filled and the pipes really need to be unplugged ( sink and shower). Otherwise our stay was great! As a note, the street was very noisy at night ( until 3am) all three of our nights, so earplugs are beneficial for a good nights sleep. The bed was comfortable.

The stairs were steep and plentiful but that is because it is a heritage building.

Haarlem, the town is lovely and the MAF was very central.

The toilet door needed a latch. The stairs were difficult but that was part of the charm of the old building

Breakfast was very good and I just loved sitting at the front window and watch the world cycle past.

The staircase is steep, because of the age of the property, and I was anxious about falling. I could not carry a case upstairs, although staff were happy to help. There were no facilities such as a bar, communal area or restaurant on site, other than breakfast, and no fridges in the room. The shower made the bathroom floor wet as there was no curtain or shower door.

The location is excellent and the building is very quirky. Large bedrooms and interesting decor and furnishing including a sofa in my room. The breakfast room is lovely and breakfast was good, although some people may prefer more choice. I was happy with it, although would have loved a lot of English breakfast tea!

Loved the decor. The room was really big, bed was very comfy. We had the 2nd day of a wedding celebration in a lovely room at the back of the hotel, again the decor was lovely and had a big enough outdoor sitting area. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room was not well cleaned, there was lot of dust under the bed. Bathroom gel and shampoo bottles were empty and toilet paper not refilled. The treatment was correct but we missed a little more welcoming attitude from the personnel.

Property was beautifully decorated with all details and in an excellent location. Bed was big and we had all we needed.

Only had fan and window to cool the room (no AC). Oddly, we couldn't open the window much more than a couple of inches due to a local cat that kept showing up and sitting on the outer window sill (no screen on window to prevent it from entering). Slow bath drains (both shower and sink) could use some attention.

Proximity to Grote Market was great. Interesting and unique decoration. Nicely sized room. Quiet. Was able to check-in after normal front desk hours with no problem using provided instruction and outer keybox.

We didn’t mind, but some people would find the staircase challenging. Like many old Dutch buildings the staircases are narrow and super steep (no lifts). Anyone with reduced mobility would be in trouble.

Lovely old, charming & quirky property. Decor is in keeping with the age of the house - shabby chic and the building oozes history. Room was large and despite the central location, it was quiet. The bed, huge and comfortable. Great location close to everything. A 10 min stroll to the train station or around the corner (3 minute walk) is the bus stop for the airport bus - all very convenient.

I wish the bar downstairs had been open while we were there! I think it was called the Red Room, it was stunning!

The room we were in was beautiful, The bed was incredibly comfortable. The bedroom was the typical old Dutch style, with lots of exposed beams and different levels. The bathroom was super modern with a large bath and shower. The property is perfect for couples, there are a couple of narrow staircases to climb, so if you have mobility issues, this wouldn't be the right property for you. The location is absolutely perfect. I found the room to be clean though if you do require cleaning or towels etc during your stay you do need to ask. This is a boutique hotel, there is no one at reception in the evening or night.

Welcoming, and helpful staff. The rooms are huge, and like the whole building, full of character and charm. Super quiet room, with views over the roof tops of Haarlem. Very central, and safe. Plenty of food, and bar/ coffee shop options, on the doorstep, and in the central square 5 minutes away. Breakfast was excellent value, tasty and plenty of it.
