We had an absolutely lovely stay on the Lightship. We could not fault our stay in any way. Alex, the host, was incredibly attentive. We will most definitely stay here again if we visit Amsterdam again in future ❤️

Loved everything about it. Alex was so kind and left us a pack up to take to the airport as we had an early flight back. Really great host. Extremely clean perfect location and love the bath! Bed was very comfortable! Spacious room! Would recommend.

I’d say only thing missing was/is a full length mirror (wife’s comment haha). Maybe a shelf in bathroom would also be useful for toiletries.

The Lightship is truly a one off opportunity to stay somewhere delightfully different and super cool. In a lovely quiet part of the city, Alex is the perfect host. The breakfast each morning left at your door was exceptional. The room was huge, comfortable with the wow factor!

Amazing room, never stayed anywhere like it before. Excellent continental breakfast also brought fresh to the door every morning at a time to suit. Host Alex was friendly and easy to communicate with.

As an Architect, I was truly impressed with the design and everything they did to this property. It sure is one of the most unique places I ever stayed. No words or pictures can truly do justice to the experience! Alex, the host is great! Breakfast served hot every morning at your door. And the location is not bad at all like some reviews suggest. It doesn’t have public transportation nearby but Bolt is super cheap 10-12eur from property to Central Amsterdam

Exceptional stay. Literally the nicest place I've stayed at. 20 walk from the train station. Breakfast is great, and amenities provided are also great.

The room could have been a bit warmer upon arrival.

The breakfast was lovely, it came delivered to our door whenever we wanted. Freshly made juice, baguettes, croissants, yoghurt, müsli, blueberries and boiled eggs.

It was a little difficult to find a restaurant in the area. We did walk a lot and did find one that was recommended by a coffee shop. This area is not walking distance from the city center you must take a taxi to get to the center but that was okay for us.

We wanted aa different experience and this was perfect! The room was very large and very clean and well appointed. The toliet had a separate room which I appreciate. Breakfast was set on a stool outside of the room and we had a table and chairs in the room to enjoy a great breakfast.

Nothing really. The location, as mentioned above was possibly a limitation for some. There is a very nice Vietnamese (relatively high end) restaurant right there, though.

A very unique experience staying in a converted hold of a ship. The room was very large (a nice change from the relatively cramped spaces in major city hotels) and well appointed. The fill in staff - Dana - was pleasant and responsive. There are no downsides except for the location which had the plus of being very quiet and unique and the negative of being about a 10 -15 minute walk to public transportation (depending on which way one went) or about a 12+ Euro ride elsewhere. The breakfasts were very good which was an additional plus.

It was a bit of a hike to get to public transport to the south part of the city, but easy to reach for things north. That's all though, everything was beautiful!

Alex was amazing with communication and the service. Breakfast was absolutely the best! We're completely spoiled now and need a Dutch caretaker lol!

Genuinely nothing more could have been done, the stay was perfect and the host (Alex) was beyond amazing. We all loved the stay and will recommend it to anyone.

A beautiful and unique stay, the surroundings are very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were very large, impeccably clean, and very impressive. Solid Wi-Fi throughout which allowed several devices to stream media without issue. The bath and shower were both excellent, toilets were clean and comfy. The breakfast was very good, with Alex giving you the choice of when and what to have. Speaking of Alex, he was quite simply the best host I have ever the pleasure of staying with. Excellent communication throughout, he was extremely polite and accommodating to our requests. Thank you fro making our stay so great Alex.

There was noise from people walking with with high heels on the metal. It is a common sense.

The property is very unique and rear chance to see something different in hospitality.
