When we were there it was warm, not easy to cool the chamber when not having an A/C . A fan was available but made too much noice to use while sleeping

The hotel is surrounded in a beautiful park and very close to the city center. The beach at Katwijk was half an hour by bike so very well located. Enjoyed the breakfast outside, Staff was friendly and helpful.

It seems to be a well known location for weddings so it can get loud in the evenings when the festivities stay on site and party there.

The week spent in this accommodation. was amazing. The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings close to the centre, which can be reached in 25 minutes or by bus in 5 minutes and the bus stop is close to the hotel. We were very happy with the services at the hotel such as the ability to rent a bicycle and also the ability to charge our electric car there. There are plenty of parking spaces and parking is free. I can only recommend it for a quiet holiday with great opportunities for excursions, both on bikes and by train to nearby towns.

Limited evening menu which was also very expensive. A tiny cupboard toilet in the bedroom with no basin. This I consider to be very poor and discourages handwashing. Toilets should always be in the bathroom.This is in a lovely location and superb building, but I do consider you are not getting some of the basics correct.

The hotel is located in a park, close to a nice palace on the water, walking opportunity. Free parking on the hotel grounds. Medium sized room with exit to the garden, with table and chairs outside. Kettle in the room. Separate bathroom and toilet. Glass (but frosted) door to the bathroom a little uncomfortable. Large, comfortable bed. Friendly, helpful staff.

The rooms were a bit small, the stairs were a bit loud outside our door and breakfast began to be cleaned up before 10:00am, when it "officially" was supposed to end. Even so, the positives far outweigh the negatives.

The location was beautiful and it was very convenient for everything we wanted to see. The rooms were a bit small but we had all we needed, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Our room was near the stairwell and it was a bit noisy when people came in or out during the night and early morning.

The setting is fabulous and the public areas exceptional. The bedroom however is dire - no bathroom should be that small for the price. In fact it is all overpriced together with the wine in the restaurant with Good food but a menu so limited.

Standard rooms in reality looking like from another hotel. Style and comfort of the rooms does not correspond to the rest of the hotel. Reception and restaurant are looking very nice and renovated but the rooms are very basic and cold. Rooms are located in the basic wing of the hotel - it is not on the pictures. There was no safe in the room. FYI: There is no access to the "castle" on the lake - this is not part of the hotel - the pictures might be missleading in this way. Breakfast buffet could have wider selection. Overall the price was high for 3*hotel and tourist tax is also high (not included in the price on booking)

It was New Year's Eve - we knew that the restaurant would be closed. But. At least would have opened the bar. Hire some student who plays the piano. DO something. You have the best location ever, celebrate with your guests. There were guests in the lobby now in silence and they were looking absolutely miserable. Come on, staff, don't be so Dutch. An oliebol yes, alright. But it is the same as the one cookie you get on a visit. Be more generous. It will pay off for you in reputation. Now I don't want to come back, sorry. Also, take care of the stains in the carpet please.

The staff was very accomodating with my late check inn. I arrived late at night. Sanne was very thoughtfull at the reception and managed to get me a late night snack. Everything was really nice: the hotel, the surroundings. Just one small thing: the bathtub could have been a bit bigger ;).
