Beautiful and modern sea hotel in Den Haag, with some margins of improvement

Unfortunately, we booked two massages and the masseuse did not show up: despite of the full reimbursement and free late check-out offered for the inconvenience, this counts negatively since we could have planned our day differently otherwise (-1). Concerning the cleaning, clumps of dust were in the bathroom extraction vent, as well as in between the strings of the deck chairs near the pool. I also noticed mold over the pool silicone. (-0.5) The pool water temperature was too cold, not comfortable for SPA pool: I would suggest one degree higher at least. Analogously, the room temperature is centralized when the key is not inserted at 22 degrees, a bit too cold considering that often one come back from the beach or the pool with wet swimsuit and towels. (-0.25) Our room was very spacious and modern, but lacking some crutches and the wardrobe is open and too small too. (-0.25) The Willem I bar and restaurant has limited choice, especially at lunch: I particularly found incredible that no ice creams where available during the day, since the most common choice for snack on the beach. No grilled/steamed vegetables than simple salad, and no healthy fish than fish and chips, as well as no baked or meshed potatoes than French fries: this does not allow to vary and have healthy options. Service was often slow and with some mistakes. Overall, quality/price of the restaurant is too low and we needed to find other solutions more or less far from the hotel after the second day. (-1)

The location is PERFECT: near the beach, far from the traffic, with nearby Q-Park (23€/day for guests) and next to beach bars and beach volley courts. Our Double XL Sea View room was wonderful: it was so relaxing to watch the sea and enjoying the sunset directly from our bed. The facility is very modern and stylish, spaces are well dimensioned for the amount of guests and, once more, the view from the pool at 13th floor is amazing. The breakfast is also an added value, at the level of the best international hotels of this category. Wi-Fi is stable, personnel is kind, general cleaning is good and overall quality/price is fine considering the standard in Northern Europe. Definitely recommended for either romantic or family holiday (kids are also welcome). Note: the safe in the room is screwed through the wardrobe structure! This is rare, since many other hotels just fix it with glue or silicone.

The modern ventilation system cools the building, but it's not individually adjustable in each room. At times, the airflow was too strong and cold for me. However, this doesn’t affect my hotel rating—it was great.

Great location, spotless room, tasty breakfast, and welcoming staff!

    - The interior wasn’t really my taste. - There was mold on the curtains. - The breakfast buffet was very basic. - The windows had some kind of stickers or dots that ruined the view.

For a special occasion, the price is acceptable for one night. But otherwise, it's too expensive for what it offers. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Staff in the restaurant seemed to have no direction or initiative. At times appeared rude.

Hotel situation perfect for overnight to get ferry to UK. Check in staff very efficient. Good instructions before arrival of how to book the parking ( as no on site parking) . Secure access to each floor of the hotel only with your own room key. Room was lovely and well presented. View (8th floor) amazing over harbour and sea. Food for breakfast and evening dinner was good.

    1) Catering facilities inadequate in relation to the large size of the hotel. The hotel was full but the small dining room could not accommodate the many guests. As a result guests we were waiting in a long line every morning to wait to be seated for breakfast. Staff appear at times overwhelmed. 2) Not always helpful nor suitable for disabled people.

Location, inside and outside pool, beautiful rooms. Great facilities. Super clean. Great views.

Car parking was quite a distance away but thankfully one could park close to the hotel to load / unload bags - something we did not know earlier as the hotel welcome note said not to park infront of the hotel. Its actually OK to park to unload luggage then drive to the car park.

The location of hotel is excellent for those who wish to enjoy the beach. The pool and wellness facilities on the 13th floor offered great views of the beach.

The gym was a converted hotel room, small and stuffy.

The property was located right on the beach, close to the boardwalk and pier. They rented bicycles as well.

If you plan to have a breakfast - it's better to book in advance, otherwise you pay a bit more on arrival. Parking can be cheaper. It's only public parking that is available next to the hotel.

Amazing location with great views (if you select a view on the sea). Tasty breakfast with local Dutch specialties. Clean and comfy rooms, good WiFi.

Lovely sunsets, but too far from public transport

This is not a place for guests who have difficulty walking. The hotel has no parking site, and public transport has forgotten this corner of The Hague. Every outing implies hundreds of meters of walking. This is OK in good weather, but it might be problematic in a storm. The closest place we could park our car was Q park, some distance away, for 20 Euros a day.

The hotel has a lovely location. From the eighth floor, we saw Scheveningen Harbour and were rewarded with witnessing marine traffic. The view extended beyond Kijkduin and Europoort; the sunsets were magnificent. If you are fit enough to walk some distance, the area has good seafood restaurants.
