How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Instead of housekeeping knocking on door each morning, would have preferred the option of letting reception/sign on door for when housekeeping can come for rubbish removal, towel change, etc.

Verified reviewSpacious, well-kept, attractive/modern interior and facilities. Beautiful, green, safe location (Bloemendaal), easy access with efficient train facilities. Breakfast was orderly, well-stocked. Approachable, considerate, helpful staff.
No airconditioning (in summer heat!), ventilation can’t be adjusted and stopped working at 2 A.M which felt a bit suffocating after awhile. When I brought the issue to the staff the next day, they were sympathetic and offered (2) electric fans which was really helpful. Breakfast, albeit healthy but was nothing special compared to other buffet breakfasts we’d been to, was on the expensive side and quite limited on choice. Be aware that there is limited food option particularly if you arrive later in the evening, basically just a vending machine for some drinks, crisp and noodles. No shops at all in the area. Our flight was delayed upon arrival hence prioritised in heading to the hotel as the place was unfamiliar to us. We queried to another staff about food availability, I felt that the staff got a bit irritated by such questions. However, when the member of staff (Azalea) who originally welcomed us came back she facilitated us warmly in getting online food delivery.

The staff is extremely not welcoming: no greeting but directly ask: show me your legal document - it feels like a police. The hotel receives a lot of people on a cycling tour but no bike garage. When we parked our bikes in front of the hotel and not in any parking boxes, the staff still enforce us to put them under the flag poles. However later we found out because there are so many bikes and the bikes have to be parked in the places we parked. Also the staff is not caring their guest. The hotel offers no dinner but they gave us a card with possible place to eat. But they both close on Tuesday… finally we just went to a supermarket. Last but not the least, they don’t have airconditioning. The control panel inside is just for “air circulating”. For a hotel with more than 200 euro per night, I expect more

The atmosphere later in the evening in the lobby/restaurant was not super inviting due to larger groups hanging. But this is not something they can do much about it.

The breakfast was a little basic and no kettle in the room though coffee is available on the ground floor foc.. The walk to town was just over 1/2 hr though public transport is available.

Noisy, curtains don’t fully block the light in the morning. It was tough to find a restaurant open in that area at night — the hotel doesn’t serve food.

Verified reviewThe room was near a busy road and we could hear it if we opened the door to our room. It was very hot weather.
What happened to a smile and a greeting upon arrival ? The Manager offered neither, just gave us the key.The one member of staff looked fed up,gave us a choice of 2 things to eat, we chose a toasted cheese sandwich which was barely edible and expensive. An accidental drop of a beer, we had to pay again. Morning breakfast had a better selection but there were no staff around. We left very disappointed over the impersonal attitude and won't be staying here again.

No air-conditioning during a crazy warm weekend. Air-Con is not typical in houses here but is fairly typical in chain hotels, so this was surprising. Also, the cost was very high for what you get.
