AustraliaThey have self check in/out so there is no receptionist at the location. Their server went down in the afternoon, and it took couple of hours till we could get into our rooms again. Even ringing staff is a long process to reach them.

The boat rental office was an easy walk away, and there was easy access to walking to the rest of the village for dinner. I'd classify the hotel as a budget hotel as the furnishing were very basic, but everything was very clean.

GermanyHaving a large TV is nice. However, the channels for kids (e.g., Disney Channel and Nickelodeon) unfortunately had no signal. My kid was therefore a (very little) bit upset about this :(
The check-in process was easy. Although we are only allowed to check-in after 15, there is a small storage room where we can leave our luggage. Our room is quite nice. There are two single beds and one bunker bed in our room. Not sure if the AC works, but there is a circulator in the room. Breakfast is included. Overall, we had a nice time staying here.

Check in was a little bit wonky with the machine, but once that was completed, all was well! I had to call the customer service line and communication was quick and clear. Breakfast was lovely with a mix of hot and cold continental options. The location was superb! So close to bike and boat rentals and 2 minutes from the main canal walking path. Just loved it.

In practice, check in and check out are quick and straightforward. However, if anyone has any problems with their room lock, you might have to wait a while for your turn on the machine.
