Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLocation and value for money
We picked this hotel as were on a budget while travelling a long time and it was one of the cheaper options but still more than we were paying for way better elsewhere.

GreeceThe windows cannot be opened fully. You can only crack them open by a few centimeters. This was not good for ventilation purposes. My room was 1st floor and overlooking the street. As a result there was a lot of noise from the street. Ear plugs were essential and they saved me. I tried using the A/C but it does not make any difference. Essentially not working. There is a fan though. They say they provide personal hygiene products, but they actually provide only hand liquid soap. There is an extra one in the shower though. So no shampoo and conditioner.
Very good location, close to the train stations, bus stations etc and also walkingg distance from city center. Also the bus that goes to the beach stops very close by. They can store your luggage for free before your check in and after your check out. Very comfortable mattress. Lumpy but comfortable pillows. Room had very large windows and got plenty of natural light. 24/7 presence of staff in the lobby. Spacious bathroom.

NetherlandsAC wasn't cool enough unfortunately regardless of how low you turn it down. Pillows weren't that comfortable either.
You have everything you need. Very friendly staff and service minded staff. I was a worried at first reading the reviews as I did not do that before booking but me and my partner can safely say it was good enough for us. Very good location. Also I personally think it's a good practice to collect deposit and the staff checks the rooms before the guests are checked out as it somehow ensures the rooms stay at a normal state before next ones move in and housekeeping staff are respected. Nice private terrace as well.

United Kingdom... The wifi wasn't working in our room. The wifi coverage was poor or non existent. I suspect that all the rooms on the ground floor may have the same issue as the signal is very weak there. We told staff who tried to deal with it but eventually they couldn't sort it out so we had no access to wifi during our stay. It's disappointing that in 2025 there are still facilities treating wifi as an optional or a non priority (beside the fact that the room was advertised as provided with wifi).
Me and my friend were there for 4 nights for Rewire festival. Same as last year we had the same room at the ground floor so we knew what to expect. The hotel is located perfectly for our purposes and it is good value for money however...

United KingdomUnfortunately there was no window so I couldn't see outside the weather and sky. And no breakfast sadly. Also I had noticed a stain on the bedroom ceiling and a crack on the bedroom wall other than that it was a good 3 night stay at hotel hague.
Great place near the hague centre. Easy to get access especially near Chinatown. Also the bathroom was squeaky clean no stains and mould. Coffee and tea was available so that was good. And a little fridge to store food. Staff members were helpful especially David and the other people (can't remember their names however).

PhilippinesBring your own brush toothpaste as they only have shower gel and hand liquid soap available. Not really sound proof rooms as they say. And you could clearly hear the loud bangs when someone opens the nearby doors.
I love that they allowed us to check in 1hr earlier. The receptionist was nice. There was a mini fridge, a safe(not working tho), closet with hangers, towels and free coffees.

NetherlandsThe hotel is a little outdated, and the carpets are badly stained. However, you can see they are doing upgrades here and there.
The hotel is in the center and walking distance from the station. Reception was exceptional! Ashanti, who checked me in, supported me instantly with a different room due to the assigned one smelling of smoke. He checked the new room personally. The bed was comfortable and I slept well!

GreeceThere was no brackets. They say you can go to the store across the street and have breakfast from 12 euros, but right across the street there was a Chinese place, which was to be expected since the hotel is in China Town. Not sure what type of breakfast you will find there in a Chinese restaurant.Personally I wasn’t after it so I did not ask further.
I booked in a really good price, the hotels was ok and close to the city centre were the market is. There was no window but the bed was comfortable. It was really nice for a single night stay.
