Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We have stayed at Amrath Haarlem three times within the past two months as visiting family during a European holiday. For our most recent stay we booked the Junior Suite which was fabulous! A huge amount of space in the room and lovely big bathroom too. We don't book breakfast so can't comment on that but the staff are lovely and the room is clean and comfortable. This hotel is a perfect location in Haarlem hence why we keep returning to it!

NetherlandsGrand hotel with an impressively beautiful staircase and stained glass window on top. On a just perfect location in the heart of Haarlem. Although modern, it is not that recent anymore which has its advantages; you may open a window if you like, and there is water pressure in the shower. There is always staff present, so you actually meet friendly people.

NetherlandsThe bathroom could use some adjustments. The toilet seat had a lot of scratches, leaving the impression that it wasn't clean (while it was). The shower is not a power shower, but it has a decent jet. The heardrier is old, overheats quickly. The tissue box kept opening due to drier cable going over it; or when you took out a tissue. Also, it seemed battered. The air-conditioning produced a lot of noise, so we kept it switched off during the night. The breakfast selection was not what we expected for a 4-star hotel (compared to our other experiences in both 3 and 4 star hotels). The nice breakfast area and lovely staff made up for this.
Excellent location. Very pleasant staff. Pleasing interior with comfortable chairs in the lobby. Efficient and smiling breakfast crew. Very good sized room. Comfortable beds and pillows. Enough space for 2 people luggage and clothes. Loved the little table near the windows, where you could sip your tea in two. French windows that open. Quiet courtyard (plus church bells). Decent selection of TV and radio programs. Mini bar was handy. Bathtub. Nice hand and body soap and conditioner. Enough clean towels.
