Bed was soft which is not so positive for me but for my husband was comfy. So the same with a pillows. Blankets were thin for the winter but you can adjust the room temperature. Booth coffee machine were still in a cleaning procedure after the breakfast began. But the staff came to inform everyone when the machines were ready. Breakfast was average, slightly poor selection.

Free parking, nice public area with lovely Christmas decorations. Modern, new bathroom. Nice view.

Paper cups only in the room, reusable washable cups would be a much better standard for a 4 star? Also there is No milk or mini fridge in room. The soap dispensers need serious muscle pumping to get the soap out and the same soap also acts as the shower wash! there was no shampoo or conditioner. The breakfast tables weren’t set out so you had to chase someone to ask for place setting after already waiting around to be ‘admitted’ in to the restaurant. Basic items ran out many times and you had to look for someone to ask for more. Most items weren’t topped up at all after 10am (closing at 11am) the chef said items out of stock were due to management, not under his control, strange way to run a kitchen?!. Said they wouldn’t reorder simple things such as pancakes? Obvs bought in, not fresh made which is surprising for 4 star. No omelettes 😉 either! First night bar man was lovely, second night was rude. Perhaps better hotel management needed.

Not the same standard of decor and quality compared to a previous stay a couple of years ago. Not quite reaching the four stars grade in my view.

Balcony and patio doors were not clean

Location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast and an enormous room with a great view. Bed was soft but comfortable and we slept really well. Bathroom fresh and particularly clean. Good coffee and tea in room.

We really needed an early check-in even just an hour as we were soaked in the rain but they are very stricked when we called to ask and they said no ...not even if the room was clean and ready. No early check-in.

Big lovely room with small deck...like being on a boat. Fancy. We enjoyed it. Lots of older clientele, we were the youngest we saw.

There was unfortunately a strong motor noise (maybe from the kitchen or the laundry room?) in the room for the whole night long. Two huge spiders right above the beds and some hair in the bathroom.

Room is very dark, no lighting by entrance and even with all floor lamps on it still very dim. Soap dispensers in bathroom not working properly and the one in the shower was not attached to the wall so difficult to get anything out of.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, very good food in the restaurant and at the breakfast buffet, plenty of parking, great view from the restaurant.

Restaurant was temporarily relocated which may have affected this, but the service was very, very poor with no recognition of their shortfalls or apologies. Our forgotten & seriously delayed drinks and more importantly the main course for 2 out of 4 of us was badly thrown together and not as described on the menu. I’d love to return at a different time of year when hopefully the restaurant & staff have a manager to direct & train staff.

Location, location, location! Lovely big comfy rooms and modern ensuite. Nice staff. Beds were a tad too soft but that’s a personal choice.

The beds were softer than I like and with the duvets most hotels now use it is hard to regulate sleeping temperature. It didn't help I found out later that the radiator is not connected to the thermostat. The light switches were hard to figure out. Several lights are connected in strange ways.

The room was spacious, clean and quiet, good breakfast, the bacon was actually crisp this morning!
