Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe coffee could be better. It’s a standard coffee machine, for my taste it wasn’t strong enough.
I’ve been staying at Hotel Faber already for some years. It’s perfect located, very close to Zandvoort’s station and to the city centre. Rooms are tidy and comfortable. The bed is just great. This time I’ve got a room with a bath tub, though I didn’t use, it was very nice. Breakfast is varied and the staff is very attentive. Perfect combi of a family business with a professional touch.

Czech RepublicVery nice family hotel, and the breakfast ... the breakfast was exceptional! Fresh juice, rich menu. I really enjoyed it. The hotel does not offer dinner, but there are so many restaurants nearby (200m), that it does not matter at all.

NetherlandsThe seagulls haha They woke me up around 5.00 am but the following day I’ve got soft earplugs and that was just perfect! Didn’t hear anything else. Pity there is no lift but when arriving the guy at the reception was very kind and helped me with my luggage (my room was in the second floor) so that was ok.
The location next to the train station and just minutes from the centre and a the beach. Family run hotel with great service. Very clean rooms and comfy beds. Breakfast is varied and abundant. It was my second time here and I will surely come back again!

BelgiumNothing... or if you could teach that one seagull not to knock at people's windows so early in the morning...it came knocking at ours everyday around 6h30, probably expecting breakfast :()
Perfect location: 5minutes walking distances to the train station, beach, restaurants, shops.... This is a family run hotel, everyone was nice and welcoming, they gave us info of what was happening at the weekend. The hotel is really decorated like an old-house, full of miscellaneous objects, paintings and souvenirs of all kinds. It's mostly frequented by German (at least during our stay) and it looked like returning guests but everyone spoke english... Everything was super clean, beds were comfortable, room and bathroom weren't super big but good enough. Good wifi, socket beside bed, hairdryer and a small fridge in the room. AMAZING breakfast, buffet-style with absolutely everything you could wish for and even more, all super fresh and very good quality :)

GermanyExcellent transport accessibility - half an hour to Amsterdam and an hour to Keukenhof. There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel, two large grocery shops within walking distance. The breakfast is very good and definitely worth the money. The cost of a room is much lower than in Amsterdam, but the sea is a five-minute walk away :)

GermanyFirst of all, we would like to thank hotel faber for making us feel at home. The hotel was a family run business. It was very comfortable, very clean. Every day our room was cleaned while we were having breakfast! This is unbelievable! We were here for 4 days to watch Formula 1. They helped us with everything. They sent us the parking pass in advance. This made it easy for us to get into the city and find our way around. The location is perfect. 5 minutes to the train station and the city. Quiet and calm place to sleep and rest. During Formula 1 there is a party everywhere and it lasts until 12 at night. It is very difficult to sleep. But the hotel faber is close to the party places and it's quiet. If there is no crowd you can walk to the track in 15 minutes! They are attentive, friendly and thoughtful. The breakfast was very varied and delicious. There is also a machine where you can get coffee at any time of the day. You will love the small car collections and pictures inside the hotel! It is like a small museum. Maybe it may seem a bit old to you, but there is a history and history all around the Hotel. We were very pleased. I think you will be very satisfied if you choose this place.
