United KingdomNothing! But just a note, that as stated in the description and in other reviews, you need to climb stairs, and Dutch stairs tend to be steep and narrow compared to what many are used to... so be sure you are good with steep stairs and can easily carry your luggage up them!
Beautiful small boutique hotel (4 rooms) in the perfect city centre location. Rooms are exactly as shown - luxurious and stylish with high-end finishes. Water, tea/coffee, toiletries, towels, all provided and replenished as you need. Although this is a non-contact hotel (no on-site reception) communication was excellent and I felt very well looked after. As there were no guests checking out on the day I arrived, they were able to accommodate an early check-in, but also provide luggage storage in their brand shop downstairs if needed. I throughly enjoyed my stay and would absolutely recommend Cavallaro.

United StatesTruly, the only negative is the steep staircase to access any of the floors of the property. The treads themselves are a bit shallow and the risers somewhat high so caution is necessary, particularly when carrying luggage up or down.
The property is very chicly designed and terribly comfortable. The bed and bedding are top quality and the location very quiet at night which was perfect for sleep after long sight-seeing days. The housekeeping staff is excellent and they even arranged to launder and return some of our garments for us. The proximity to the city center made it easy for us to do walking tours of the neighborhoods and attractions with easy access to the canals for boat rides and sight-seeing. I would definitely recommend this small, elegant hotel to any discerning traveler.

United KingdomWe knew the stairs were steep, but the curve on them could be dangerous if your not fit with good balance. There were a couple of things about the actual room which would have made our stay better, the desk/dressing table had no mirror so doing hair and make up was difficult, there was a full length mirror beside bathroom door but you had to sit on the floor to plug in hairdryer etc. the bathroom was beautiful but has no natural light so again didn’t work for make up/hair. The main thing I missed was an armchair, after being out all day you had to come back sit or lie on the bed as there was nowhere to sit and relax. The little chair provided had no back and was there to look pretty. The view from the window which can’t be helped but was roof tops with other properties junk, old broken toilets etc! We normally stay in Niu Dairy Hotel or Hotel Lion, D’Or which are both fabulous, the other Hotels were all full due to it being the Flower Festival.
The location was excellent, right in the middle of the Town, the room was very clean, we didn’t see any staff but is not that kind of Hotel, it’s 4 rooms on two levels. ( 3 sets of stairs to climb )The towels, dressing gowns etc were a nice touch, there was a coffee machine and kettle. We are regular visitors to Haarlem, about 8 times now, we love the Town, the people and how easy it is to visit other places using Haarlem as a base. There are loads of cafes/restaurants all within walking distance so getting decent food is really easy. The clothing shop downstairs kept our luggage in one of the dressing rooms until check in which was helpful. We paid extra to check out late on our departure day which was a bonus.

United StatesThere is no front desk. You access the facility by keypad code, and you access your room by key. I left the key in room and locked us out. The hotel resolved the problem and treated us fairly. We were treated very well.
The location is ideal. Restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner are within a few blocks. Our room was beautifully decorated. The bathroom was outstanding with heated floor and premium fixtures. A mile from the train station, two blocks to the market square.

We stay yearly in about 50 hotels but this hotel and host exceeded all our expectations. We stayed here because we married in the area and they really helped us with everything we needed even without asking. It is very obvious that this host makes sure their customers are super satisfied and comfortable. This was so nice to not have to think about anything since Silvana took everything out of our hands without doubt. Also the location is very nice in the center, nice atmosphere, nothing else to wish for what they offer.

Cavallaro Hotel is perfect. First: Silvana is exceptional; she drove all the way to Delft to bring us the cash we’d left in the room safe. We were totally blown away! The suite was very elegantly decorated with beautiful accessories, furniture and finishing touches. The room, which opens onto a private terrace, felt like a calm oasis with full length block-out drapes, beautiful wood floors, lovely wallpaper and lighting. The elegant black and gold bathroom, with a shower and tub, has excellent fixtures, great lighting and a view of the terrace. We arrived to a vase of pink roses and a welcome note. The train station, Grote Markt etc are easy walking distance as are very good restaurants.
