They are in the middle of a renovation and that is ok, BUT what's not good is that the newly renovated rooms are incredibly dusty. so dusty that I could not stay in the first room due to alregies. You have to wear your shoes indoors or you just get dirty. Really that's not acceptable, because it is easily fixed.

Locaion was perfect, staff were really nice, price was fine and the breakfast was standard.

The soap dispenser was broken (luckily, we could get soap out of it still), the shower curtain was not ever washed, we think. The room smelled like it was not properly aired, felt stuffed, and we cannot vouch for the cleanliness of the bed sheets. The carpeted stairs between the floors were dirty, with pieces of food and other things laying on the carpet. Reception first mistakenly thought we had 2 rooms booked when we booked just 1. The receptionist then apologized and it was all fine.

The location is a walking distance to a few nice bars and a bus ride to the central train station. The shower had good water pressure but a slight change in water controller made is scalding hot or ice cold.

Had a room in the upper floor, right under the roof. It was kind of a small and oddly designed room, more like a closet. There were traces of mildew on the walls and the wallpaper had parts missing already. A renovation would do the deal. Room and bathroom was very clean, the floors were dirty though. Lobby and public toilets are very clean again.

Great location, city centre is just e few steps away. Staff is attentive and polite. Parking lot available, the free hotel parking was full, but the paid parking had spaces left. Price was OK.

The room looked a bit tired, with mould by the windows. The hotel has just started a complete refurbishment so that should be dealt with soon. There was some noise from the building works during the day, but the hotel did advise us about that before our stay.

This is from a disabled persons view. Very heavy non electric front door. No plugs by bed (i need a c-pap at night) doorways a bit narrow into bedrooms, no assistance rails in bathroom, shower over bath so not able to use. On arrival i rang and asked where to park and was told the public car park opposite. Unloaded my electric wheelchair and all i needed, found i couldn’t directly cross the road as no kerb drops! Got i to hotel to be told you have to be off carpark by 8am or i could have paid and used theirs. Why nit tell me thus when I rang- i had informed them i was on my own and in a wheelchair. So in my opinion thus hotel is NOT suitable for disabled.

On the morning of check out someone tried to get into the room around 9am. I had a do not disturb sign up and yet they did not knock on the door but instead just tried to come in. They made no announcement either. That made me very uncomfortable.

The credit card machine did not work, so you could not pay with Visa, although I am sure they would have found a way if we ended up being a no show. Parking costs extra. Leaving by car after checkout is quirky. The shower curtain was quite filthy. Getting into bathtub in order to shower is difficult due to height of tub. The towels are cheap. The window is hard to open. Construction was being done by the neighbors on a week end.

The elevator was reeking from smokers. Our window was above the back entrance which is also the designater smoking spot, so it was noisy even late in the evening, faintly audible through closed windows as well. As we arrived early we were lucky to get a free parking space (of ~20 spots), but this also means we were unable to use our car for the rest of the day otherwise we would've needed to park in the paid area.

The staff was helpful, the room and bath were well equipped. The selection for the breakfast was lavish, as one would expect from such a large hotel. The location of the hotel is really good for a visit to Zwolle's city center. I would also highlight the extra effort of the hotel staff who was prepared for the guests leaving early - like us - despite the previous day was a national part/holiday (27th April).
