It is super clean, simply and beautifully decorated. Very comfy. Has everything one might need. Great price . Great location. Contact was very present via WhatsApp answering questions and checking in regularly. We loved the place and would definitely choose it again .

Nothing disliked about, but the stairs to the rooms could be tricky - very narrow and steep (it’s understandable as the building is so old) so mind the steps if someone has a big suitcase!

The locations was perfect for sightseeing. The staff were very nice and friendly. The room (superior king) was clean, stylish and spacious with lovely view of the canal and the church! The church bell could be a little loud so the complimentary ear plugs were very nice touch. The cafe on the ground floor has very relaxed atmosphere and their food was nice too.

As others have noted, it’s an old property so its stairs up to the rooms but not an issue for us.

Everything was perfect. Only stairway up to rooms is very narrow so could be difficult for someone with limited mobility or heavy, cumbersome luggage.

Stayed in room 2. The room was beautiful. Having the bath right by the bed added to the vibe. The view from the window was superb. Chatting with Kelly via WhatsApp ensured everything was smooth. I would absolutely return.

Beautiful family apartment full of charm. Great cafe downstairs for breakfast. Parking is a short 5-10 minute walk away through the charming alleyways and along canals. Right in the city center so all main attractions are a short walk away. Will definitely stay again on our next visit,

What a perfect place! The bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in and everything we needed was there. It was super quiet and right in the heart of all the must sees. Communication was great via WhatsApp and the keyless entry was a breeze. There’s so much character here - a real gem!

Location close to centre, excellent flea market along the canals as we happened to visit on Saturday, beautiful sound of the churchbells, cute walking town that feels very safe and friendly.

Friendly welcome helped me get into the room. The room was very clean, it appeared to have been freshly renovated, which was done very well. The appliances in the room were of high standard. When you entered the room you instantly knew your stay was going to be a good one.

To get to the rooms one had to negotiate a couple of very uncomfortable staircases and as there is no permanent staff, one is not assured of any help with it. If I had been alone I would not have gotten upstairs. Absolutely not recommended for people who are not in top form. This should be mentioned in the description. One expects these hurdles in an Airbnb but not in a hotel.

Being a historic building the stairs are very tight.

If staying in one of the higher rooms, mind your head! My partner is 6'2" (187cm) and bumped his head a couple of times.

Responsiveness of the owners was excellent. They were very accomodating and reached out directly to make sure we had all the information we needed and would enjoy the stay. They provided some excellent recommendations for places to see and where to eat. The location is close to parking and to downtown, very easy to walk every where!

Not so much not like, but guests that are more limited in their motion should be aware of the traditional Dutch stairs. However, This is a delightful feature of the building and not a complaint.

Ambience and attention to detail were perfect. Great design fusing the best of old architecture with modern convenience. Exceptionally clean, comfortable bed. And very friendly staff.

The stairs can be difficult if you have heavy luggage, but not a big deal. :)

The room was very comfortable, and the hotel is a very central location (right next to the Nieuwe Kerk). Huey and Kelly are wonderful hosts, and really work hard to make sure everyone that stays there is happy. We loved it there, and highly recommend it!
