How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Unffortunately the restaurant was being renovated so we had to go out to eat but that was no real problem.
Great location and within easy access of facilities and friends we were visiting.

For us the bed did not sleep well at all. Most of the beds in the Netherlands we saw online appear to be split twin beds. Not sure why? Regardless, the bed did not sleep well for neither of us. The bed seemed like we were sleeping on an uneven air mattress trying to roll you off. Also, not a big deal but just not used to having to clean the floor after each shower using the water bar. Why not just add another door and tile floor to capture and drain the water correctly? The weather temps were nice while we were there but room did not have A/C. Not a big deal but just be prepared. Overall, room was nice and clean. Lastly, beach is nearby. Would be nice if the hotel offered its travelers beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella to use.
The staff were all really nice and helpful. They always tried to help answer questions and give helpful suggestions.

We did have a small problem which was because of a glitch with the booking.com app rather than the fault of anyone at the hotel - we didn’t get the instructions for late check-in until the day after we arrived (even though the staff had sent it earlier) and we were worried we wouldn’t be able to get in as our plane was delayed. It would have been reassuring to know in advance that there is a system for arriving late even when the reception is closed.

Be great to add pancakes to breakfast menu
Large and lovely comfortable room for our family of 3 looking over the small garden. Hotel in a fabulous location and beautiful town. Lovely walk through National Park to the beach Breakfast was fantastic

Rooms are very nice. Beautifull paintings of flowers and plants hanging on the walls. Entrance and access to the building is good with the Hotel smart card.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Close to the beach with lots of cafes and restaurants. Very clean and spacious rooms. Staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Overall, it was a supreb experience, and we will be back soon!

reception closed after 6pm. Difficult to access after that time. For such a location and the price of the room, surprising (but understandable in terms of personnel costs) that no presence. Breakfast was good, and on a warm day served well on the outside. BUT for the price of 20Euros, served at table and little other choice. For such a hotel and the price, either breakfast could be included or at least have a buffet style...

Spacious, modern suite in a quiet neighborhood. Just 5-10 mins walk to the train station. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious!

The heating was by an air-con and the bathroom floor was freezing with no floor towel. The kettle did not fit under the tap and one need to use a glass to fill the kettle. NO glasses in the room except coffee cups. No soap other than the shower gel. The entrance to the lift is through the restaurant and not accessible when the restaurant is closed.
The room was bright. The shower gel and shampoo was good quality. Nespresso machine.
