We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesWould be great to have outlets accessible (extension cord maybe) near the bed! Stairs are a narrow spiral staircase, just FYI for anyone who struggles with that or has heavy luggage.
Room was clean, comfortable, private, very nice! Easy to find the place and key access to the home and room. Breakfast was full and delicious.

United KingdomWelcoming hosts, comfortable bed, very good breakfast. Quiet location but an easy walk along an attractive canal to the tram/railway station and city centre. Our hosts insisted on carrying our luggage up and down the stairs so that was not a problem. There is a sitting area for guests and the bedroom had two comfortable chairs which is better than many hotels we have stayed in. There are parking options. We opted to pay park in the street but there is free parking a short distance away.

Very friendly hosts, Petra and Ron. Location is good. The room is very clean, quiet and the bed comfortable. The bathroom is big and shower is good. The hosts helped us with our heavy luggage up/down the stairs upon check-in and check-out. We loved the well prepared and good breakfast spread each morning. We could have afternoon tea and biscuits provided and relax in the couch area. One of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. We highly recommend this place.

CanadaFrom Canada, we had booked 5 months in advance for 4 nights. We received a message of an error, asking to move out after 3 nights. Working at the university, it's not easy to leave a hotel in the morning and carry our luggage to be stored in another one. But we accepted to move. Prior to arrival, we asked to bring our luggage between 11 and 12 AM, for storage until the end of the day. The answer was: "You can bring your luggage at 11.00 o clock." Traveling by train, we only made it to the hotel at 1 PM, which was not expected to be a problem, thinking that we could bring them anytime after 11 AM. But on arrival, the lady owner greeted us with a mad look because she expected us earlier and she had to go see her mother. We stayed calm and tried to explain our view point, but it was impossible. The lady owner held all the truth and we were culprits. On the hotel Web site prior to arriving, my wife clicked on 'Facilities' which showed Kitchen and Microwave, meaning that we could reheat food for supper. But as seen on this site, the microwave oven is NOT visible on the 'shared lounge' photo, because it's in a cupboard under the counter. But nobody told us that it was hidden there and we were allowed to look. So my wife was very disappointed to have sandwiches for supper. The lady owner kept on 'mounted' against us until we asked for decaffeined coffee. She first said she did not have any. Then she added that 'Day Caffee' pouches could be inserted in the expresso machine. I first did not understand what 'Day Caffe' was. Then I understood and tried to tell her why I had first misunderstood, saying that in America (Canada and the USA), we rather use the expression D-Caf (as in Dee-Kaf), which is slightly different. But that cranked her more and she told me that we were in the Netherlands and that's it. Her total lack of empathy for anyone but herself was obvious. We were glad to leave after our 3 nignts.
