Location 30 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central 2 minutes walk to the railway station trains every 30 minutes and also has a direct connection to the Airport Nice outer suburban area quite at night only noise is the trains going past and they don't make a lot of noise as they are all electric powered Very good service from the staff and they were all multi lingual to make it easier for us who don't speak the national language

AustraliaMany noisy when slamming shut internal hallway doors. Many smoking guests just outside the front entrance and overtaking the small outdoor alfresco seating area. Was given dirty towels on multiple occasions, but these were immediately swapped when asked.
Great location. Train at doorstep. All shops & varied eateries within walking distance. Large woodlands/heathlands on doorstep for walking/cycling. Clean room. One firm bed out of two. Good aircon in room. Lovely staff. Great breakfast buffet.

SwitzerlandBreakfast hours are for business travelers, tourists and holidayers will have to remember that the breakfast closes at 09:00 am on weekdays, and remains open an hour longer on weekends.
Hôtel Bastion is immediately next to the railway train station of Bussum-Zuid. Very convenient. We stayed for 4 nights in order to visit some cities by train. Note: We are rather sensitive to noise, so we asked for a room facing the back of the hotel towards the forest, and this was very quiet.

Belgium-Instead of going through a secure payment process during reservation, they picked my card info and were trying to manually get the money from it, which was naturally not working for a debit card. They tried maybe 10 times until I arrive, my bank was sending me warnings all the time, and the hotel send me warnings that they will cancel my reservation, which were all very annoying and stressful. -The bathroom is too small, especially sink is too small and bathroom floor gets wet everywhere -Bathroom-toilet door is semi-transparent, which can be disturbing if hired by two friends etc. -No kettle for hot water -When I was in the room, I was disturbed twice by cleaning ladies the same day. There was no "no disturb" labels to put on the door.
-Hotel is just next to the train station Bussum Zuid, and despite my concerns, it was not that loud. -Room is ok, good for the price. -I liked that there was a radiator independently from the air conditioner. As air conditioner is loud, I was able to close it during the night and use only radiator.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-connected base near Amsterdam!
