We had a great stay! The host was super friendly and welcoming, really a lovely person. The room was clean, spacious, and had big windows with a nice view of the church tower. There’s even Netflix if you want it. Breakfast was tasty and nicely prepared. Overall, such a wonderful stay!

B&B De Stadssingel is a beautifully restored property and a true delight to stay in. Jaap is an incredibly warm and welcoming host who has created a space that’s both elegant and inviting. Our room had an exquisite garden view, a striking piece of artwork that added a lovely touch, and divine bathroom products that made it feel like an exclusive boutique hotel. The breakfast was exceptional—thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We also really appreciated the secure bicycle parking. A standout experience from start to finish.

There is nothing one cannot possibly like here. Everything is simply perfect.

Do yourself a favor and have breakfast in the most serene place one can ask for. The breakfast here is a piece of love from the Dutch owner to the fortunate customers who get to know a slice of the Dutch tranquil country life. The back garden is bliss and so is breakfast with a view. The spacious, comfortable rooms are so tastefully decorated and have all the amenities that make a traveler's life a little better, inclusive of Marie Stella Maris cosmetics and a really strong power shower. The Green Room itself is a gem in itself, while the view makes you think of a Roman garden! But the real master is the owner: attentive, kind, generous and never too short of energy to look after whatever your needs may be. And while not connected with the property, the nearby beautiful park is a lovely after breakfast stroll.

I could not leave my bag at the hotel on the following day, so I needed to take my bags to Giethoorn. The weather was not very good, I didn't have time to find the locker so I took the bags with me to the place where I had rent the boat. My mum and I were exhausted by the end of the day.

The room was very cozy and beautiful. Shampoo and body lotion were super nice. Shower was just perfect!

Absolutely everything! So much attention to detail - stylishly decorated with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were very pleased that, although the room was on the small side (not a problem as we knew this when booking), the bed was still huge and felt so luxurious. Breakfast was amazing! Jaap was a lovely host who is clearly a natural in hospitality and is so helpful - a great guy!

A gem of a place -- lovely, elegant decor everywhere, both in the rooms as well as in the dining room. The dining room overlooked an enticing garden area. It's the ideal romantic getaway, and in fact there was a newly married Dutch couple among the guests. Our host served a bountiful, tasty breakfast, and was so very helpful in giving advice about Giethoorn (thank you Jaap!), as well as being accommodating about check-in and check-out instructions. I would come back again and again.

Room was very small but clean and comfortable. Host explained that the larger rooms probably were not available due to timing and other reservations.

Purchased breakfast for 20 Euro with plenty to eat at a wonderful setting remodeled by the host. Quiet location with the yard, creek and park in the back. Very good restaurants in town.

Everything was perfect. The host, the place, design, coziness, comfort - could not ask for more. Very impressive. Super nice breakfast. Any time in the future I'm in that part of Holland - business or pleasure - I will stay there.

We highly recommend this hotel. Only 10 minutes' drive from Giethoorn, you find a small boutique hotel, in a great location, very close to city center with a lot of yammi restaurants. Jaap is a great hospitalitier with a lot of patience, smile and willing to help. We are glad to pick this hotel for our family.

The stairs to the rooms on the first floor were incredibly steep, however the owner handled my luggage so I could manage. However anyone with bad knees or mobility problems would find it difficult.

Communication prior to arriving was excellent - already felt welcomed. The owner could not have been more helpful - even escorted me from station to assist w baggage and dropped me at the station for an early train. So thoughtful. Hotel beautifully decorated. Meals were lovely too.
